Maksim Chmerkovskiy May Fill In For Derek Hough On Monday’s ‘Dancing’
LOS ANGELES, Calif. –
Maksim Chmerkovskiy might be heading back to ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ at least according to Season 9 celebrity contestant Joanna Krupa.
‘theres a huge change,’ she wrote on her Twitter account on Friday evening. ‘maks and i will be dancing mon since we are wking on the routine.’
Maksim stepped in to help the model learn her routines earlier in the week after her professional partner, Derek Hough, became ill with what he suspects is the flu. But, Joanna added, Maks’ appearance on Monday’s show isn’t certain.
’still not confirmed,’ Joanna Tweeted. ‘atleast will be fun for tv!’

Carrie Underwood’s ‘Temporary Home’: The story behind the song
Even though he helped write the song, Luke Laird says Carrie Underwood’s Temporary Home took a while to sink in with him.
“I connected with that song, but it didn’t hit me that hard when we wrote it,” says Laird, who wrote the song with Carrie and Zac Maloy. “But the more I go back, I feel very fortunate that she would write it with me.”

“Miracles” Do Happen! Adam Lambert’s ‘2012′ Theme Finally Released
After last week’s 29-second tease of Adam Lambert’s 2012 theme in a new movie trailer (during which the actors’ dialogue actually overlapped Adam’s vocals! such disrespect! shaddup, actors!), the full and thankfully dialogue-free song was leaked this weekend and released on Amazon for preorder. And naturally, anxious Adam fans are stampeding to hear it, triggering a possible Amazon-server meltdown/explosion not unlike something straight out of the Roland Emmerich disaster film itself.
Songwriting takes center stage for Chris Daughtry
Don’t ask Chris Daughtry what direction he thinks “American Idol” should go.
“I’m not going to give my opinion on that anymore. Last time I gave my opinion on that, I got blasted,” said Daughtry in a recent interview with 77 Square before he headed out on the tour that’s bringing him and his band to Madison Saturday, the fourth stop in a 36-date arena tour.

Did someone post this GA interview of David yet? Sorry if it was already posted, I tried to skim through everything but once again I’m in a proofreading frenzy and I think it makes me half blind

And that pic of him with Archie’s album is so cute…

Hicks reinvents career post-’Idol’
Randy Cordova – Oct. 19, 2009 12:00 AM
The Arizona Republic
… “When you come off of the show, it’s pretty obvious that people can say whatever they want about you,” Hicks says. “It isn’t really about how many records you sell. The key is to be able to sustain yourself and to keep having gigs, whether it’s Broadway or records or TV shows.”
That’s where the true level of post-”Idol” success can be measured, says Sandra Deane, AOL television editor. “People have unfair expectations of the Idols,” she says. “The bar was set really high because of Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson, and that kind of thing is lightning in a bottle.”
… it’s working out nicely for Hicks, who landed at No. 10 when Forbes published its list of the top 10 earners from “American Idol” in 2008. Thanks to “Grease,” record royalties and his solo gigs, he earned $300,000. It’s quite a distance from David Archuleta at No. 9 ($1.3 million), but it’s nothing to sniff at.

‘American Idol:’ Adam Lambert outselling rivals, friends
October 18, 10:49 AM
… If you look at the Amazon sales charts for this past week you’ll quickly notice something shocking: pre-orders of Lambert’s still-untitled album are #9 overall in music; meanwhile, Allen and Iraheta are not even in the top 100. Why is this? You could attribute it to a number of factors, such as increase of media exposure for Lambert and a song in the upcoming film “2012.” Lambert is also the only one of the three to not have a full song available online (his is only a clip), so more people may also be downloading singles from Allen and Iraheta and waiting on the full album for later.
In addition, Allen and Iraheta are also being defeated on the charts by fellow “American Idol” alum David Archuleta, whose “Christmas From the Heart” ranks 22nd.

ggdoorsfan, the examiner article doesn’t take into account that there was an Itunes pass that was sold for Kris right after the end of AI
Watched a couple of the X-Factor performances. Lucie was pretty weak. She just can’t handle those big, diva songs and that’ll kick her in the butt, eventually. Olly was surprisingly good. His singing isn’t the best in this competition, but the combination of the song, the production, and his – should I say it — dancing really impressed. He can be an entertainer given the right material.
BTW, I finally got a chance to watch the SC video of David Cook’s I Did It For You – niiice! Here’s Lie if you haven’t seen it… looks cold out there. Like the leather jacket, beanie,
lips(oops)… Like his guitar stuff at the beginning. He did that I think in… Richmond? I had no idea what song he was going to do, lol. Purty. LOVE this song. Should be on my radio (sniff).http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAsLpMQ2eZM&feature=related
**Warning – very loud somewhat human screech right at the beginning may cause fright if speakers are up too loud**
(Hee)
Trugs went on some online radio call-in show tonight, and his story about Adam and Kris has caused a lot of flailing over on ontd_ai (especially about “the room of Kradam”)
Evidently Kris plays his guitar to soothe guests while Adam makes tea?
IDK, anyway, they put the segment up on Youtube if you want to listen to it

Just saw that fox24.com interview with Cook. Same old, same old re his being on Carrie’s Christmaas special and the schedule for touring and recording the next album . . . but holy crap! Did you see the size of the bleachers behind him? How big was that arena? Looked huge! Hope he filled it — or got close.
Did anyone cite a source — like Dave or his manager or someone affiliated with him? I love the guy, but I really doubt TPTB (or whoever) are planning for bigger venues for the next tour already, because no matter what, they have to wait to see whether album #2 sells big first, don’t you think?
New five part ‘Ralit is up, has some SYTYCD and DWTS stuff in it to make it relevant to this site, I enjoyed the Top Chef and Project Runway stuff the most (though I’m done with PR for this season if the next eppie isn’t stunning) ‘Ralit
American Idol judges ordered to cut out the gay jokes
That’s a very cute pic. Where was that taken Ozarka?
I would think so. I’m actually amazed that he’s been able to tour for this long and continue to sellout (or nearly sellout) some big crowds. However, if he’s not going to have any new material or new singles between now and next summer, I think that’s pretty premature of TPTB. OK it’s crazy for them not to release another single.
As soon as I have time, I’ll go on DCO and ask them for sources. But since when do we need actual music to make big plans?
Here’s the video where he mentions the Carrie Underwood special, and the fact that he’ll be taping for something that will be aired in January.
Banter and I Did It For You from Perry, GA
David as far as I can tell has not announced anything about the next concert series. I think that came out on the cellcast or something about the bigger venues. He announced the Carrie Underwood special and that he would be taping something that would come out in January that did not include the band. So I would stack the “bigger venues” up to rumor.
nvm
I don’t know where that was, but the girl next to him is named Julia. Here’s what she had to say…
That’s hilarious! What kind of fan gifts bootleg copies anyway? But it’s adorbs that DC was excited enough to listen to Archie that he’s been using it anyway
Adam Winning Competition … for Whose Hair Cut Is Most Like Kate Gosselin’s. ….
No kidding. Huffington Post. Christian Siriano currently in second place.

Oh god that banter! Does he say “I love that girl to death” ? That’s so stinking cute I may plode.

We will see the numbers when all is counted in first week’s sales regardless of when a pass or pre-order or sales in the first week was paid for…I’m looking forward to the discussion then
In case anyone is curious about Kanye post-Taylor Swift, he’s at an ashram. LOL.

PJ — I have to say that is the weirdest instance of cultural clash I could imagine. thanks for the laugh!
ok, maybe an audience with Sexie Sadie (what the Beatles called the Maharishi) will help Brand K get over himself. He’s probably still mourning the sudden death of his Mom. And he’s part of a music culture that’s full of male swaggering, bling-wearing, booty-chasing, bragging and other obnoxious crap. Getting real might be opting out of that for a real chunk of time….
