Please Please Jennifer, if you read blogs….please get out of your funk and start attending some of these award shows…please.

I don’t mean to be rude, (ha - just realized I’m quoting Simon), but I don’t think I’d classify what Jennifer’s been going through as a mere “funk”. Being depressed after a breakup might be referred to as a “funk”, but I think suffering the murders of three members of your immediate family just three months ago is something else entirely. She has to heal in her own time, not ours.

I happen to agree with (tm Simon) tiny…We will see Jennifer again, but to expect her to “get out of her funk” 2 or 3 months after she lost the vast majority of her nuclear family is banal on our part, I think. I pray for her coming to terms with this. And I’m in no way a Jennifer Hudson fan. I just hate for somebody to put a deadline on being able to heal from something like this. I’ve never been through anything close and don’t even want to imagine…

Hey, I meant no disrespect but in my mind, when she (or anybody) starts making public appearances it affirms to me that they have healed or on the road to healing. As long as she’s not making public appearances, it worries me. Some people NEVER go back ….which would be her choice, but I think it would be a shame if she decided to totally drop out. ONce she makes appearances, then I’ll sigh relief because I know she’s on the road again.

Maybe that is exactly why she HASN”T begun making public appearances, because she HASN’T healed?

This is not about her career for her, this is about mourning the death of her family members. She could prolly give a flying fig about appeasing her fans.

She will come back. This is Jennifer Hudson for goodness sakes. She could have given up once booted from idol. Instead she persevered all the way to an Academy Award. We aren’t talking about a quitter, we are talking about a gusty surivivor. Show a little sensitivity and give her time.
