Season 5 Idol, Ace Young will be co-hosting the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, taking place in Las Vegas, NV tonight and tomorrow.
He’s set to cohost two segments:
- 10 pm to 12 am PT Sun Sept 6
- 2 am to 4 am PT Mon Sept 7

Season 4 runner-up Bo Bice is also scheduled to perform at some point, but I don’t know when. Any Bo fans with additional info? Please update in comments and I’ll add it to this post.
When I was a kid, my Labor Day weekend was not complete until I saw Jerry Lewis cry his way through “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” Heh.
Yes, international readers, we’re in the middle of another American 3 day holiday weekend. Labor Day is Monday. Don’t expect much big news until Tuesday…

Bo Bice will be peforming in Hour 6 of the Telethon (11:15P ‘“ 12:00A PDT).
Ace Young will be performing in Hour 5 (10 to 11 p.m PDT)

And Ace will be performing during Hour 5 of the telethon (10 to 11 p.m. PST), which is 1 to 2 a.m. EST on Monday morning.
Wouldn’t it be nice if MDA scheduled our favorite Idols at a decent hour? LOL

I just came here to post this and I see a whole topic on it! I used to watch the Jerry Lewis Telethon every. year. As a kid, I always had to call in to donate $5 from my allowance. The videos of the kids got me every time.
Yes, the MDA telethon was a major event in my house growing up, too. My parents would encourage us to donate our allowances and they would match them plus. I used to love to call in and pledge. It really was a big deal back in the day.

It’s an all-night event, so they have to stagger the acts through the show. It is on for 21 1/2 hours after all. I wish more Idols were on though…

If I have the time right, Ace should be on in 40 minutes. I hope we won’t lose much of him for the local programming! I’d love to see him again on my TV set!
His first segment was already on. He sang two songs and did some hosting, appearing a few times over the two hours. He introduced Bo for his song.
