Adam Lambert #5 in Access Hollywood’s Top 9 of 2009

Access Hollywood is counting down it’s Top 9 of 2009, and Adam Lambert is #5 on the list. The video piece is a greatest hits, more or less, of the show’s Adam coverage in the past few months.
Adam is set to take the stage at the big the Gridlock New Years Eve Party at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. His 40 minute set begins at midnight.
Video after the JUMP…

I really hope FYE will come back BIG, hoho
On another note, I wish I have the skills to mash up Sure Fire Winners and NFL. The lyrics is just fit, such as ‘pretty boys’ (hello Tony Romo, Tom Brady and Eli Manning…), ‘hall of fame’, ’sure fire winners’, ‘big time hitters’ and ‘Giving you something to shout about’ (so true. my throat was sour after this Monday night’s game).
Yesterday, while shopping at the mall with my 17 year old daughter, we heard Master Plan being piped through the Free People store. I was surprised because my daughter recognized Adam’s voice before I did. It was so unexpected but exciting to hear him singing while we were shopping!! Great song!!!
congratulations Adam<3
I’ve been saying that too. Even the Olympics.
Luv FYE!!!!! Thank you Billy Bush. Never liked him too much either, but as you can see….our boy has a way of bringing them around!.
FYE does seem to have legs…Hope it gets bigger and bigger.
Don’t forget to vote on Vh1 too for the mv.
Wow, vmac! I’d say that store has an employee who’s a fan, since that’s a bonus track! Cool!
I wonder when this aired? Adam has sold over 400,000 records which is double the 200,000 mentioned. But thats cool that Billy Rush said that at the end. A lot of songs have grown on me after I heard them over and over and over again.
I was just think this when listening on the ride in this morning. Very uplifting “do do do do do’ love it!
vmac…..I love Master Plan. Actually, it’s my #1 pick for Adam’s NYE gig. I always imagine a live performance of MP w/ a big, rockin’ kick-ass horn section and the crowd screaming along “we are the face of the new generation!!”
(God, I wish I could be there..)
Mainegalo….love Master Plan too. The image you present of the crowd screaming sounds craaaaazy!!!
And AnninSd….love If I Had You too. The words are so fitting for the club crowd….nothing matters except Love.
FYE is one of my top 5 songs on the album too. When Adam does a second album, and maybe if he incorporates a more techno sound, I would love him to release Oh My Ra…am sure you’ve all heard this, but in case not (turn it up!!)

luval!!..my friend, you did what I thought was impossible…an Adam vid I have NOT seen!! thank you!…and, yes..the volume is way up!
Yeah – the edit option is back (or was I delusional) – LOL
MSN Music year in Review has a list of the Hits and Misses of 2009. Adam is in the “Hit List”.
Music Hits and Misses
Hit: Adam Lambert
Victorious loser: “American Idol” voters in 2009 gave the final edge to Kris Allen’s sanitized-for-your-protection nice-guy pop, but it was Glambert’s over-the-top theatricality and Force Five pipes that earmarked the next “Idol” graduate headed for platinum stardom. Proudly bending gender and saluting the glitterati of rock’s glorious ’70s glam-rock heyday, Lambert clearly relishes his outsized showbiz charisma. (RCA)

I agree with you about the mashup with Sure Fire Winners and the NFL.
Wish I knew someone with connections there. Or wish someone from the NFL knew about mj’s blog. I’m gonna go on one of their websites and search around….There has to be a “contact” catagory somewhere.
I love Master Plan too.
VMAC– That’s great that you heard Adam at the mall. On another thread I posted that my kids and I heard Adam’s FYE at an iceskating rink the other day. That was unexpected and exciting!!!
He is so cute! Love the video….
That was the price of the digital album on Amazon. Total album sales of 417,000 units, only 52,000 were digital. Also, Amazon’s share of the digital market is miniscule to Itunes share. His opening week sales don’t even account to 1/2 his total sales and that sale of $3.99 was for 1 day during his opening week.
He is nowhere close to reaching an ROI with his sales (417,000 for FYE album + 300,000 or so for singles)… but I’m glad he’s doing fairly well at this point. I was expecting his album sales for week five would plummet without any promotion whatsoever, so kudos!
On the brighter side, he has made it in a lot of lists this 09… good or bad, it’s all publicity and all to his benefit IMO…
