Adam Lambert’s “For Your Entertainment”  went up on iTunes for presale around midnight last night. In less than 12 hours, the Deluxe version of the album shot up to #10 on the overall iTunes album chart, and #1 in Pop.

The single, “For Your Entertainment”  has benefited too. It’s #31 on the overall iTunes songs chart,  and #20 on the Pop chart.

There’s a nice sized banner on the iTunes front page, which I’m sure ain’t hurting the sitch.

  • gee, I know it is late in the discussion but have to weigh in about Details.

Details is a metrosexual mag. Yes, lots of hip gay men like to read it, but so do professional men like my soon to be married engineer son and all of his straight college educated married and engaged friends who what trend setting fashion and current news.

It is really more of a crossover mag, not a gay mag…

  • New thread needed, lol

TV Guide pics hot (not sure why he went to it, but very cool), but have you seen this interview:

    http://bit.ly/3GZxJ8

It’s one of the funniest ever. Discussing nail polish and Rock Band? SO AWESOME!!! ;) And this is my favorite Adam look, hands down: emo hair, favorite t-shirt, cool jacket. Love it.

Oops, sorry, y’all beat me to interview while I was sleeping. I do that on occasion. ;)

So happy re: iTunes. Hope he breaks Top 20, anyway, for overall iTunes chart, but no complaints here!!! 8)
NCIS? Srsly? HOO BOY. You go, ADAM!!! *swoonage*

  • Is something going on with this blog? Just seems like it is very slow. Anyway it is great to see that Adam is holding steady #1 Pop and #10 Overall on his album. It looks like the fye single has gone up a little to #16 and #26 respectively. YAY! So proud of him!

  • Adam is no saint, I don’t see how ppl can expect him to just roll over and take it when Gene repeatedly harps on this subject. No matter Gene’s intentions, saying Adam should stay in the closet implies that there’s something wrong with being gay. Adam has every right to call a dick a dick, and a hypocritical dick at that. At least it was followed up with a compliment about Gene’s business acumen.

Adam is a genuinely nice guy, it’s very obvious. I can’t imagine Adam ever saying anything honest that would upset me – it just doesn’t seem to be part of his nature.

  • I think Gene is homophobic he should try sleeping with men, seriously how does he know he doesn’t like it unless he try’s it. Of course not sure men would go for him though!!!! After all Men’s standards are way higher then woman!

  • TheSpindleshay,

    I agree with you.

I have never been the recipient of homophobic comments, so I can only imagine how those kind of comment against you get under yourt skin. The hurt and anger do not go away.

And, he was ASKED, he did not bring it up unilaterally.

And, yeah, morning SQUEEEEE, for his numbers holding steady…

My RL really sucks lately, so I really appreciate the joy Adam gives me….

And THUD for that TV Guide outfit!!!

  • Hey guys. Where is the interview or whatever where he talks about Gene Simmons? I can’t find it.

  • Or maybe this is a sublime message from Gene, he really is gay and he is trying to tell us that he is waiting for the day his career takes off so he can tell us all about it… you go Gene!

The TV Guide outfit!!! Love the Jeans and the Jacket.

ITunes Canada Album still at #7 overall…. yeah.. I guess its a matter of wait and see where it stabilizes.

  • mandalay,

It is from an upcoming issue of RS- I have the current issue, as I have it by subscription and I do not see it in there, soI assume that is may be the next issue.

Someone posted some very poor quality scans they could get of the article.

  • Back to the subject !!

    #10 Overall #1 on Pop

Predictable, yet sounds awesome. There is no doubt this is just the beginning of a new music era. Sounds weird but time will tell. I love Adam’s voice first of all, then charisma, sense of humor and eloquence. As i said before, he can sing the phone book, the alphabet, whatever, i am gonna love that. Congrats to Adam.

That was so awesome, thanks to whoever posted it first. Adam was so darned cute and the flirty eyes were enough to make me swoon. He seemed really relaxed, rested and ever so natural. Beyond cute. I don’t know who the other guy is, but they definitely had a thing goin’ on with the nail polish.

Thank you for the Smile video. I became a little emotional. I really love this guy. Count the ways? Ditto your post nina.t but add to it the quality that underlies the discussion here last night. He stays true to who is is and will not compromise. Following talent and charm this is the quality I love most.

FYE singe at no. 26 on itunes

Thank you! I did need that. :) <————-

  • Have you all seen these? Gossipcandy has them up at her site. It looks like Adam, Roger, and his PR person took in another party after the TV Guide gig. It looks like Adam and Samantha were just walking out at the same time, but it cracks me up how the angle of the pics makes it look like they were leaving together.

Adam and Sam Ronson stepping out

  • Adam I now #11 on itunes overall charts…Jason Mraz went ahead of him. I guess that means his Album is #2 on pop even though it does not show that yet.

  • De-lurking to comment> I know this will be an unpopular opinion, but here goes.
As fans, we all know the whole Gene Simmons back story. We’ve seen Adam talk about having a hard time as gay teenager. We also know that Adam is a combination of salty and sweet: sometimes playful and snarky, but mostly gracious, friendly and professional. We’ve been following him for all these months and have strong positive opinions about his character. New fans or more importantly, people in the industry don’t have that yet. You have to look at these articles & interviews as if it were someone reading about Adam for the first time. It doesn’t matter that Adam is right and that Gene IS a homophobic ass; without the back-story, the comments could make Adam seem defensive and petty. He didn’t have to add that Gene cannot sing. He seems to oscillate between being a cool-headed business man and having a devil-may-care, crash and burn approach to his career. The risk-taking is admirable when it comes to his artistic integrity and his image (go buy the other guys CD if you don’t approve of his style, sexual preference or the sexuality he brings to his performances) but he needs to be careful of not getting a reputation of being arrogant or someone who is can’t keep his emotions in check. Print & the internet are forever. He was not thinking like a business-man when he let his emotions get the better of him and now is the time to be very business minded.

It’s hard not to agree with this. Celebrity feuds are guaranteed to get you some press, but they usually end up making both parties look like asses to the public.

Stiill, I sometimes wonder if he doesn’t just say controversial things to get attention. It’s something Madonna and certain other celebs have done, and it doesn’t seem to have hurt their careers any.

  • Well, truth, unfortunately, is not always the best defense – probably in Gene’s case, too. Would have preferred Adam’s keeping the light touch as he did before – saying something like: “Tell Gene I appreciate his fatherly advice.” Or, if Adam preferred to remove more than just one and go for the set – “grandfatherly?”

    Basically, a big nothingburger.
