Also I think that this season of AI had some really interesting and relevant personalities in these crazy times. I really do wish them (all top 13) well. What incredible people.

Nah, I don’t think you’re a Pollyanna. There were some incredible people. I esp, like how they put friendship over competiton at times, like the save of Matt G., the way Kris and Adam helped out Allison (acc. to Allison), the way Kris and Adam basically refused to compete against each other. Pretty awesome.

I also think, both of them are awesomely talented, but who knows what makes us vote for people? Maybe we do see a light inside and that’s part of it, too.

The AI7 Tour had a stop in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre. Here are the videos I took. Unfortunately, I missed recording 2 of Jason’s performances, 1 of Ramiele’s and Chikezie’s entire set (and he was surprisingly good too).

This year, there are two stops in Canada: Vancouver and Hamilton (which is just beside Toronto).

I think Kris and Adam are from similar backgrounds. I don’t know the actual town Kris grew up in (I don’t think it was Conway), but I think Adam grew up in Rancho Penasquitos, which seems like a suburb-type section of San Diego with a population of about 54,000, or, about the same as Conway. They each have one brother, their mothers get along great, etc.

Funny, but offstage I don’t see Adam as being bigger than life or an overpowering personality. He’s a performer who turns it on when he goes on stage, and offstage I think that while his look is offbeat, his personality is less offbeat. He seems more talkative but otherwise pretty similar to Kris in a lot of ways. Cool guys, both.

I think Krisà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ knowledge that Adam found him attractive added to the depth of their friendship. I would imagine Kris may have been a little intimidated by Adam at first à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬’ very small town Arkansas boy, unassuming college student, meets bigger-than-life L.A.-savvy, glam god with KILLER talent

I have to disagree with this image of Kris. He may come from a small town, but it’s not as if he’s never left it. He has been to Africa and Thailand doing missionary work, which, I’m guessing, would be pretty far out of the comfort zone for a lot of us. He’s more worldly than people are giving him credit for. Aside from that, Adam may be the bigger-than-life glam guy on stage, but off stage, he seems to be a pretty easy-going guy who just happens to like clothes and make-up.

Honestly, I would be pretty surprised if Kris was at all intimidated by Adam. He seems pretty grounded, and I bet Adam’s not the first man he’s ever seen in make-up. (Thailand, anyone?)

I tell you who I think needs a stylist the most: Matt. His hat is awesome (whatever the reason he wears it), but he never looks like he’s comfortable in his clothes, to me (I love that guy, though).

I’ve never heard of a piano being called an acoustic piano. I’ve always heard “piano” and “electric piano” or “keyboard.” I guess a piano is acoustic though since it has strings hit by hammers.

I’m thinking that the original poster being a piano player and not familiar with any other string instruments wouldn’t think about having more than one guitar since most people I know who have pianos only have one.

I’ve not visited any fanfic sites (I’m ok with fanfic about fictional characters, but not real people) but I can absolutely guarantee that there is slash galore. But maybe some of them are kind enough to warn you ahead of time?

I read something where one of the AI stylists said that they kind of had to fight with Kris to get him to wear the outfit he wore when he performed No Boundaries. He thought it made him look too much like a model! Heh.

I’m going to possibly open a can of worms here, but about the fanfiction, I’m afraid to read it! I was a huge L. of the Rings fan (hobbits!) and discovered that many ladies enjoyed something called “slash.” I’m not judging this at all, but I also was not so much into that aspect of hobbit-relations, lol. So before I start digging around in the fanfiction, someone do tell–is this anything like “slash”? That is, do Adam and Kris get, uh, rather close in this fanfiction? A good model? Hugh Jackman. Oooh lah lah. But the guy is totally focused on his wife and kids, his wife (10 years or so older than he is, by the way!) is very good-humored about it, and they’re both an inspiration.
