Oh, Simon, I clearly underestimated your interest in this season. You not only actually gave the song selection some thought, you’re having a very good time playing your own little wicked game with us. Is he doing a little market research with the two-song confusion? Terribly unfair to Kris and Danny if he is.

And as much as I’d love for “Wicked Game” to be the pick, I think “One” is also an excellent choice. If I were Adam, I’d sing them both and bag whatever I chose for myself. He can always sing that next week. Cook did that with “The World I Know,” and it worked out pretty damn well for him!

On a personal level I would prefer Wicked Game, as I would love some OTT RoF type wicked sexy, and I have zero doubt that he could sex this up beyond what FOX wants me to see.
But as upping the numbers of votes is more important that my own gratification I guess One would play better to the casual viewer.

BTW, I was so impressed by Adam’s short talk at his high school.

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t. In season 6 Jordin had virtually ZERO buzz of any kind, in season 4 Carrie was considered a boring robot while Bo had all the rabid fans and buzz, last year I think both Davids had a lot of buzz so it could have been anyones game.

I can’t see Simon doing that either. Simon has been very supportive of Adam (well except for ROF) and Adam has been his pick to win for weeks now. I would think he’d want his prediction to come true. *shrugs* Who the hell knows what’s going on! All I know is that I would prefer One which means that probably is what it won’t be.

Id rather he did ONE, I think that song could resonate with a profound type of awareness for tolerance in todays world.

And if Kris doesnt get eliminated this week I believe he will win AI and that would be ok with me. It would NOT be ok with me were Danny Gokey to win. No, that would not make me happy.

I think if Kris somehow makes it past this week, he will win. I think he is the second choice of many Danny/Adam fans and the other two guys are so polarizing, there will be a strong “anybody-but-him” vote. The real trick is not getting eliminated this week since I also suspect the other two have larger fan bases.

I’ve long suspected they must. It always seems as though the Idols are acting when they discover their song choice and it would make sense to give them some time to prepare in advance of Saturday.

I’m really not sure if I buy the explanation that there appears to be two songs because Simon picked one song that isn’t cleared and a back-up. Why would he do that? Simon has known for months that Adam would likely be in on the final, so why not get the song cleared. Heck, he could even get Clive to do what he’s done in the past if there is an issue. Or pick a new song. There are enough of them out there.

I have to say if the fans knew Adamà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s song as early as they knew for the other two, this thread would be alot shorter.
