Adam Lambert, David Cook, This is It Red Carpet Interview – Jimmy Kimmel Live – VIDEO

A correspondent from Jimmy Kimmel Live was set loose on the red carpet before the Michael Jackson documentary, This is It, premiered Tuesday night in LA.   It’s pretty hilarious.

He interviewed Adam Lambert and David Cook, and you can spot Nigel Lythgoe in one of the shots. Enjoy!

The perfect guy in real life always happen to be gay. Don’t you agree, ladies?

Well gosh. That would mean my husband has been hiding it really well for 18 years now. I feel so used!! And he seemed so enthusiastic too.

Well I think the quote is ‘all the good one are either gay or married,’ so I think you’re still covered Keel.

I’ll take Cook and Adam. I’d feel a little skeevy ‘taking’ Archie, so he can remain the cute, grinning elf on my new fav Christmas album.

Agreed, I’ll be fine with my liking Cook and Adam and finding Archie an adorable elf in almost human form. I know Archie also does it for some people, and to quote again Veronica Mars, “18, it’s legal!” but hey, that’s me. Again, different strokes and all.

  • Keel:

Keel, are you sure he’s perfect? I don’t know any wife who thinks that, so you’d be the first. LOL j/k

He’s actually very close, IMO. Let’s see, umm, he’s really pale, has great skin, great armz, pouty lips, fills out pantz really well . . . are you sensing that I have a certain type? Hee.

BUT . . . sadly, he can’t sing or play the guitar and hates general admission concerts. So boo on that.

What did I walk in on???? Looks ^-^

Jimmy Kimmel’s show is a riot and I really enjoyed his red carpet correspondent. I need to watch it again.

Uhm, Adam is just right? I guess he would be if you’re a man, or asexual or a pre-pubescent girl not looking for any trouble. If you’re a red-blooded woman, the rough, college educated one will do just fine.

Can’t agree here, he does quite a bit for red blooded women too :) ))

  • tierbee:

Late to the party ;) but

Have you guys seen DC & TA live? I saw them once, back in April. I get to go again in a couple weeks! EEEEEEEEEEK. *flails*squeeeeeees*thuds*

Yes, I’ve seen them five times – hee! Last two shows were fabulous, I am in withdrawal currently.

  • kathrynTX:

Awwww poor poor tierbee! Cook withdrawal is wicked. Heh. Wicked. Adam was in Wicked. BUT so HAPPEEEE you have seen them 5 times! I’ve been recovering from a &*$##*(& broken kneecap since MAY, so I couldn’t travel to any shows! But I’m better now and bought tix to the gen admin show standing room only I DON’T CARE! I couldn’t sit at home knowing they were just down the road.

SOOO I finally got to watch the Kimmel vid. BWHAHAHAHAHHA! Adam is a doll. The guy from Kimmel is an idiot. I laughed at all the wrong/right places! Mr. Cook and his peanut butter beard…love you, boy-o! Yep, that doctor comment took me by surprise and I did LOL!

INNYWHO. What’s this about being a “red-blooded” woman and there’s something wrong with me if I find Adam attractive? I think you meant to add “straight” to that, at the very least. I find him very sexy and attractive, whatever HIS preferences. I’ve got mine too! I’m a red-blooded woman. Adam is SMOKIN’! I’d kiss him in a second! haha there I go, fantasizing again. Ah well.

As for Cook and his hair and his belly and his beard…whatevah. The man is terribly, terminally, crazy attractive. IMHO.

Yes, I’ve seen them live. (whispers “more than 5 times”)

And 3 times was from the front row. Ah … still speechless.

And I talked to Neal, Joey, Andy, Kyle, & David and got Dave hugs (several), and when Monty joined also talked to him and a pic with dip ‘n dots. All of them are very cool dudes.

As for Cook and his hair and his belly and his beard’ ¦whatevah. The man is terribly, terminally, crazy attractive. IMHO.

This, my dear kathrynTX, is the understatement of the year.

This poster still in a trance from the “aura” that is David Cook.

  • fearbear:

Of course the beauty is always in the eye of the beholder but I appreciate that Adam always takes the effort to look good, to look like a star. I like my stars to look like stars and Adam definitely looks like one. Cook looks like a slob, especially in that premiere, just yuck all over.

  • wellhesback:

See it really is in the eye of the beholder because to me Lambert’s hair looked just awful and his clothes looked ill fitting. And I think Cookie looked great. Good thing everybody likes different things.

Oh and wordnerdarchie – I’ve been lucky enough to see David Cook & his band in concert twice this year, but I didn’t “meet” them. I’m so jealous.

  • fearbear:

^^Yeah, to each his/her own. And if you really think Cook’s hair looked good in that event then there’s nothing much we can agree on definitely because that was just really bad even by his usually ick standards, LOL.

  • wordnerdarchie:

Many people have bad hair days, especially when it’s windy. That still doesn’t detract from the rest of the “eye candy”. And I like me some sweet cookie. Yum.

  • tierbee:

Yes, I’ve seen them live. (whispers ‘more than 5 times’ )

And 3 times was from the front row. Ah ‘ ¦ still speechless.

Gah! Lucky you! The best I got was 3rd row but I did get to meet David and hug him which was pretty effing cool.

And if you really think Cook’s hair looked good in that event then there’s nothing much we can agree on definitely

LOL, I think it is clear that you won’t have much to agree with when it comes to David’s fan since you don’t like how he looks or his music… that doesn’t leave much common ground (unless you like Oreos?) To each his or her own. Your slob is my hot looking rock star :) … I don’t usually even notice the hair, I don’t make it past arms/smile/eyes. (BTW, I think Adam is cute… but I do think his hair at the premier was bad in its own right – much like a small furry animal was deposited on top of his noggin)

I like my stars to look like stars…

Personally, I like when artists I admire stay true to themselves, in whatever incarnation that takes. And usually, that makes them more attractive to me.

Adam’s do was a little too mon chi chi at that This Is It event, but I expect him to experiment and change it up so whatevs. The sparkly chameleon thing suits him. He seems to have fun with his look, which makes him hella fun to watch.

Cookie, OTOH, is more of a minimum fuss jeans and t shirt kinda guy, which is fine by me. He was having an epically bad hair day coupled with an unfortunate choice in new haircolor at the MJ event, but he looked pretty damn sexy from the eyebrows down. Anyway, he usually cleans up well (with a little help from a stylist) when it’s appropriate to the event. To be honest, though, I don’t think he’s ever looked hotter than he did in a plain ol black t shirt (from the Gap I think LOL), jeans, and bare feet, guitar slung on his hip, hair all bedhead-ish and messy, belting out my favorite song at the concert in Searcy. Seriously, I love these two concert vids so crazy hard. I wish I was there. That’ll do, rocker boi. That’ll do.

Have you guys seen DC & TA live? I saw them once, back in April. I get to go again in a couple weeks! EEEEEEEEEEK. *flails*squeeeeeees*thuds*

Can I join you in that *flail*squeeee*thud*? I just got tickets for my second concert toooooo. FINALLY we meet again, Mr. Peanut Butter Beard and band that I adore. November is gonna be a LONG month.

  • fearbear:

To each his or her own. Your slob is my hot looking rock star

To each his/her own, exactly. Okay good to know, he’s still a slob to me.

Personally, I like when artists I admire stay true to themselves, in whatever incarnation that takes. And usually, that makes them more attractive to me.

It’s great if they stay true to themselves of course. But does staying true to oneself mean not washing and combing your hair before coming to an important movie premiere? Unless your true self is a slob then I guess it is. Looking like a star is different from acting like a star/diva – it doesn’t mean you’re changing your true self if you take the effort to look nice for a movie premiere, true self is on the inside.

  • mr:

Well, I only started watching AI and reading this blog because of Adam, so I may be a little biased, but this straight red-blooded (what does that mean, anyway?) girl would prefer Adam in my fanatasies over anyone else at this point in my life… but yeah, I also understand those who aren’t attracted. NGL, the first time I saw him, right before he sang “Satisfaction”, I was all snickery and thinking “whoa- this guy with all the makeup and blow dried hair, who is absolutely sooooo gay (yes I am ashamed to admit that I was being steriotypical…bad me!) thinks he can pull off a Mick Jagger? Yeah right!” And then he opened his mouth, and since then he’s become the sexiest person alive in my eyes!
So attraction is a funny thing, and can come from different reasons!

  • BootStar:

That’ll do, rocker boi. That’ll do.

ROTFLMAO sick with the SWINE FLU. Was that a Babe reference, sunchick , or am I hallucinating??

And for the record, I think Adam is great looking, but I hate all the shit he wears on his face. I prefer my stars to look genuine and natural. And above the age of consent. (I think some of Archie’s fans who love his “clean” and “non-slob” looks are going to be very upset when he finally declares which team he plays for.)

And I’m not even gonna comment on Cook’s hair because these latest shots just confirm my earlier criticism, but aside from his hair, I think he looks great here. He clearly just jumped out of the shower and/or off a plane, but at least he was’t a no-show because he was having a bad hair day!

  • May:

Cook looked like a star to me…but more like a movie star. For a guy that means that he took the effort but didn’t go overboard. I agree with Sunchick’s post. But then again, I’ve always liked the guys who wear less foundation than my mom and I don’t think that will ever change.

  • sunchick:

Def a Babe reference, BootStar. ;)

But does staying true to oneself mean not washing and combing your hair before coming to an important movie premiere?

That particular event is an exception. He had a wicked schedule, came right off the plane from EM:HE, and appears to kinda suck at doing his own hair unless he has a really good haircut (see video above as an example of a really great haircut.) Some stylist recently did him very wrong going too solidly dark and too short all over without trimming the locktopus bangs. It was crazy windy. He overcompensated with product. The bangs work better when it’s longer and spikier all over. Highlights and lowlights add texture and help too. Blah blah blah… Bad hair cuts/color happen to everyone, even stars, even Mon Chi Chi! Adam, hair grows. The rest of the movie premiere look is perfect. The point is, you have indicated that David never looks good, always looks “dirty” or whatever, and as such could never look like a star. I said that David usually looks his best for big PR moments, and I wouldn’t want him or expect him to glam himself up like Adam every time he steps out of the house because it doesn’t suit his persona. Jeans/tees/plaid David is often even hotter for me for you anyway. When he’s on the road in between haircuts he wears hats. They look good on him. Whatevs.

  • fearbear:

That particular event is an exception.

Exception to what? I was only referring to what you said about artists staying true to themselves – I was just saying that looking like a star doesn’t necessarily equate to not being true to yourself.

  • sunchick:

Fearbear, seriously, nothing personal, but I no longer feel like I’m having a worthwhile discussion when you respond to one sentence out of context rather than the entire collection of thoughts contained in a longer post. It’s the good stuff inside the giant skull with the occasionally questionable hair that really counts anyway, so I’m gonna leave it at that.
