How can you not get along with Adam? I don’t get that…it’s not like he ran up & down the halls in the mansion in a dress trying to kiss Michael & Danny.
Although even that image doesn’t turn me off to him, LOL.
Ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s too bad the studio recording of Tracks of My Tears isnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t the acoustic one, or he could promote that one as wellà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦
Long after the memories of Idol have faded, Adam is going to treasure the studio version of Tracks of My Tears. To be able to record that vocal track with the Miracles signing backup and the lengendary Motown house band? Wow. To any serious musician, it doesn’t get any more special than that. I’m always amazed when people complain about the backing tracks on those Motown week singles. It’s impossible to overstate just how magical that Motown band was. That week is with Smokey Robinson and visiting Motown and recording that track is one that Adam will never forget.
Oooh! the full version this time, and even better than the rest, he just keeps getting better! Love all the video and links to Adam interviews/performances! It makes the fact that the season is over (a little) easier to bear. All this and Idolatry Adam, too. Seventh Heaven. :wub_tb:
I don’t think it’s Gokey, it is probably Sarver. I’ve come to believe Danny is basically a good hearted guy, just very sheltered. Sarver is probably the one Adam didn’t get along with. I liked his persona in the beginning but now that he’s opened his mouth a few times, I think Sarver is a total redneck who uses the bible to justify his bigotry.
Niall – I agree, I think it’s Sarver. Danny & Adam are very different, but I think as people left the mansion & Danny saw Kris & Adam, he saw that while Adam may not be his closest friend, he’s a good guy. I think Sarver has no clue how to handle someone like Adam & there is likely friction there.
I really, really wish they could just do the tour w/out Sarver. Few people would care & Adam deserves to have everything to his liking on the tour b/c let’s face it, he’s the one filling up those seats.
I knew Adam was Jewish–non-practicing–and what made me so happy is that is wasn’t brought up! There were enough distractions. The last thing we needed were allegations of antisemitism.
I hope he comes out and says he is attracted to ZOMBIES! In your face, everybody. Heh.
Sarver. *sigh* In my mind, he took Alexis’s place in the competition, and he is a mediocre singer, to be kind, whatever his personal beliefs (that I also think may well be close-minded).
Although my favorite bit was actually in the comment sectionà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦from à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“Courtneyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ , who wanted to smell Michelleà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s jacket after she had hugged Adam!
I just really believe he smells really good. Like a unicorn draped in a lilac wreath being ridden by a star child drinking an apple cider in a fall frost. Pretty much exactly like that.
OMG, I totally loved that comment!! I think I might have to save that somewhere. Sheesh, I’m so retarded. :jittery_tb: :doh_tb: lol
One thing I really liked seeing and (not hearing) was that the audience was in tune with him on this – their faces, their quiet listening. I know, editing might be concealing and revealing selectively. But so often, especial with Idol-type celebrity, the audience is more into the person than the music and shriek or cheer in ways that, not only show that they are not really listening themselves, but also make it impossible for others to listen. I hope this means that Adam is attracting a music-loving fanbase, not primarily a celebrity-loving one.

I agree with Sarver, (who should be honest enough to give up his tour position to the rightful Alexis, yeah right!) I read someplace (?) where Adam said he did not “understand” Danny. Makes perfect sense to me.

You are not alone in this Adam. Hell, I don’t ‘understand” Gokey myself.

Was it really the Mircales singing backup and the Motown band playing? I wasn’t paying attention at the time, but had gotten the idea that they just recorded vocals over an old, pre-recorded Motown track. If they really recorded with the band and singers, that is cool. The music-minus-one concept didn’t interest me at all, no matter what the pedigree of the backing track. I’ll go back and listen – it’s one of the few studio versions of Adam’s that I didn’t buy.
Aside from that, though, it would have been nice to have a full-length acoustic version, because that was such an interesting take on the song.

Yes.

Not just any pre-recorded Motown track. The original Motown track from the Smokey Robinson and the Miracles single.

Well, about half of the Motown house band, including Marvin Gaye, are dead. How do you think Smokey Robinson recorded his vocals? Every singer in Motown history came in and put down a vocal track on top of the completed backing track recorded by the legendary house band. That’s how Barry Gordy could take almost any singer in off the street and record such great songs. Adam’s version is just wonderful.
Here’s a sample of a concert performed by the surviving Motown musicians for the incredible documentary on the Motown Funk Brothers band, Standing in the Shadows of Motown (available on DVD)
Yes it was great to see a true fantard interview Adam! I was crying by the end I was laughing so hard…she is awesome! Loved her picture captions too.
I also wonder about Adam’s smell…I am certain it is amazing.
I have got to get a grip. But I don’t even want to stop obsessing over this wonderful man.
Adam admits he didnt get along with someone but wont say who because they will be on tour together all summer. hmmmm I have two people in mind.

yay — confirmation that Adam is Jewish….don’t know why this makes me happy but it does

ROFL!!!!!!!!!!! :jittery_tb: Oh to speak those words to Adam! heh
Seriously though, that performance of ‘M.W.’ was really beautiful.

Oh, man! I don’t think I could ever get sick of hearing him sing that song! Agree his voice is just so beautiful every time he sings it!
