Thank you, thank you, thank you MJ for keeping us so current on everything Adam. The new video is excellent, love the winks and smirks, and eyebrow lifts. He is sooo channelling Elvis in this one it is amazing! The Jim Cantiello interviews are great. Once again, what a lot of us gals find so appealing about Adam is how he can be so fierce one minute, and just unbelievably sweet and articulate the next. His courage and positive attitude in the face of those who try to be negative is inspiring. Bravo to CBS for picking him up after ABC ditched out on him. Their loss is CBS’s gain. Cowards. And, back to the video, I agree with Tara, a little more man on man tease would have been really fun!
Very catchy song. Great video. Wish the AMA performance had been better planned and executed.

You said it in a nutshell. Still feel like he just ran out of time, and wound up “winging it” to very mixed results. REALLY wish the AMA’s would have happened a month or two down the road AFTER the band had a chance to gel and with a few performances under their belts. The performance wouldn’t have then been a debut, but I think it would have gone MUCH smoother. JMHO.
Yeah except whoever posted that apparently didn’t watch it, since they titled it “Adam Lambert Preparing for his Music Video.” Um, no. That’s the “Behind the Scenes in the Recording Studio” video you get with the iTunes album.

Why didn’t Adam do a performance on the AMA’s like in the video? Allow the dancers to actually dance & Adam sing around them without moving so much – his voice would have been much better. Noone would have been offended & it would have been a better finisher. Then again I suppose their intention was “shock value” which the video doesn’t have- its more about the performance here – as it should be!
The beginning still hurts my ears though – I think the song will be better when Adam performs just with his band !!
I’ve read in my email bout Adam is not allowed to perform in GMA because of the negative feedback bout his Ama’s prformance,How true is this?Anybody please?

Well said. Me too. I’m not jumping ship because of one performance. He’s on a learning curve right now. He has a lot of supporters that will guide him and will give him good advice. I can’t believe ABC caved in to the complaints. It will be to CBS’ benefit. ABC will regret it!!! I guess I have to edit my DVR and change it to CBS.
hey y’all. I think his guitar player in video looks kinda like Monte Pittman aka Madonna’s guitarist and guitarist in Adam’s former rock band. What do you all think?

i want to share what i watched this morning in my country, they say Time for miracles video in now #9 in International Myx channel. last week it is # 19.

That video was WAY, WAY better than the live performance. Incredibly better. (And not that it matters much, but there are a few more hetero couplings in the video, which may make the video a bit more neutral for the audience than the AMA performance was.)
Those shots of him in the chair with the flirtatious smile? So much better than a crotch grab and the finger.
Sorry, I can’t go through the comments now, but wanted to say I LOVE the video. Adam is as hot as ever, and everything looks really cool. Sometimes I feel these videos look a bit forced, but this one is just cool. And the song keeps growing on me… I liked it at the beginning, but now I can’t keep it out of my head!
Well, I never watched too many Zodiac Show videos and I mainly saw Adam on AI, so I have to say I’m not really into the whole S&M B&D, “I’m the sexy ringmaster, prince of darkness” thing from Adam. I don’t know what I expected his career to be like, but this wasn’t it. I don’t get the preoccupation with kinky sex. Great for those who dig it but it ain’t for me. I like him personally but I don’t care for this. Sorry.
Now this doesn’t go far enough, for my taste. I like the idea of Adam as ringmaster ‘“ and I like the palate (black and silver do go really well together). Funnily enough ‘“ about ¾ of the way through I wondered where the absinthe was (considering the repeated accent color was apple green) ‘“ and bingo! There it was…..though the shot didn’t linger long enough for the item to really register. I would have gone much farther ‘“ more Plato’s Retreat then underground Goth. He’s gonna get hit after that AMA performance no matter what. Better to be hung for a sheep as a lamb. Frankly ‘“ I expected more from Ray Kay. His video’s for Lady Gaga are visual paeans to German Expressionism. With Adam, he had the opportunity to go full Caligari ‘“ and he backed off. I prefer walking right up to that edge ‘“ even sticking a toe or two over it. Reviews might have been mixed ‘“ but no one would ever forget what they saw.
Re: The Finger Comment. Adam is a moron. Plain and simple. This is the last straw, and I cannot abide this stupid, bloated, egotistical brat any longer. I wish him well, but he has much to learn about humility, emotional restraint, self-discipline, graciousness and general good manners. He’s quickly becoming a bore. Pathetic.
carolinacharms, I understand where you are coming from. I didn’t like the performance either. But, I have a little Sympathy for him and I’ve seen too much good from him (personally and musically) to completely make assumptions based on this big mistake (to me).
For starters, he has made his living in a gay culture in Hollywood for 10 years. This type of performing is what he sees and knows and it’s a culture that might be hard to understand to some. That conversation could go on and on. Also, he’s under tremendous pressure and this performance was so built up. He admitted that adrenaline got the best of him and he got carried away. I think much of it was a blur. The finger to the OUT editor was a lot of pent up feelings that came out at a very charged emotional moment. Most of us have no idea what it’s like to be a struggling gay artist in America, and it’s been a tough road through this whole journey with his own community. It’s really affected him and it is very complicated and deeply emotional. He’s also has a long history of low self esteem and internal struggles.
I think he totally just flipped out and basically cracked some. Did you see the build-up and who was there? No single out and so much riding on the performance. And then he fell. He fell. Can you imagine??? He said it totally knocked him off his rocker. He really did panic.
I’ve seen so many times when he’s a sweet, caring guy and most people who know him and have met him just love him. He screwed up and he needs guidance. That’s why he didn’t make it on his own. I think he wasted a big opportunity and that his sales should have been double if he nailed a song, had a single out early, and a decent album cover. But I’m not ready to take this one performance and pronounce him a completely horrible person. (although I respect your opinion and may change mine eventually)
I like the video a lot and wish he had done something more along these lines. I’ll never get why Adam did the AMA’s like that. Video is hot.
I’m sure he will hate to lose a fan. Oh well, it was bound to happen.

But, as an honest fan I have to say, I’m dreading the finger explanation. Even Jim was like…”Okay… O_O”.
It was a bit immature for a pro performer. I love him but it’s true, and I just hope all the AMAs talk fades out.
The finger was unnecessary. That was low. Wrong move Mr. Lambert. I’m thinking the more he talks about his AMA “fiasco”, the more he’ll get backlash. Better just shut up and be neutral and probably say “it was what it was”.
Then again, his motives of evading the dreaded “AMA talk” by keeping it mum about it may also be questioned.
No, I wouldn’t abandon ship because of that. Not sure I was on board really (and by on board i mean to a “crew” level). I’ve seen more than enough proof of the type of person Mr. Lambert is to convince me otherwise. He’s a genuinely nice guy. The “birdie” won’t change that.
This video is great!!!! He looks sooooo hot- I could eat him!
I’m sure it’ll boost the sales up too.

You don’t have to be sorry- you like what you like and you don’t what you don’t. So do we all.
But if I could add me personal feelings: the MAIN (not the only, but the main) reason I like Adam so much is his versatility, his million faces. I think that if he only sang emotinal, subdued songs, or on the other hand, if he only did his wild stuff, my admiration for him wouldn’t be as high. I’d still think he was good, but it wouldn’t be as exciting. What I love about him is that can do both extremes and just about all the shades in between, both performance-wise and vocal-wise.
And you know that a lot of his performances will be very different than the AMAs, and a lot will be like it (hopefully technically better), depending on the specific song and it’s lyrics.
So I suppose you could still like some of his stuff, while not liking other stuff…

Love the video….really really love the video. I like how it’s a take on the underground scene…right up Adam’s alley.
I really don’t care that he gave the finger. and didn’t even know it until it was posted on her in a pic. Shocking, but I know quite a few who give the finger in the heat of the moment. That’s what I loved about Adam on Idol. He seemed to always get “lost’ in the song / moment, and then you would see him blink and his eyes came back into focus. Anyone remember his face at the end of BOW? I don’t know of too many people who could take the pressure and not crack a bit.
I’m impressed with the video- kind of has a Thriller vibe to me. I’m kind of like Simon was when he commented to Taylor on AI” you’re interesting”. That’s how I feel about Adam, not a cd buyer but interested in his live performances. He walks a fine line between being his own person and coming across as that or coming across as egotistical. Right now, to me he’s just his own person and not apologizing or changing himself to suit what others think he should do. He’s definitely not taking the safe route to celebrity.

Not sure if anyone is still here, but I was at the Early Show, I can definitely attest that it was a very diverse crowd (lots of 20-somethings, men and women, though definitely more women still). And in fact you can actually see me in that twitpic (oh, lordy…)
