  • Yay, what a great way to get the day started!

Have to admit – when I heard the 30 second spots I was sad, but now that I have the album – love every single song. Listened to it with the hubster on Friday a few times while we worked in the kitchen – he likes a lot more of it than I had figured he would. So I was able to make my decision on how many CDs to buy – have to get 4 now! One for my Jeep, one for his Jeep, one for in the house, and one to remain unwrapped forever!

What makes me happy is that it’s a sing-along album. I was afraid it wasn’t going to be, and that’s what makes for a good song for me. But I’ve got to do a lot of exercising before I’d even be able to come CLOSE on that bridge in PUU… (pant, pant)

  • before he moves totally on from FYE, he should get the video more out there, so that that will be wherever the casual googler or youtuber happens to land, and that version can compete in peoples minds with the AMA one. Not necessarily promote it, just let it be everywhere, while he goes through this wholesome boy penance

I wonder whether they aren’t going to save it for the international release.

  • Adam’s interview with Ellen wasn’t as I imagined it to be from the reports (I thought that Adam was back-tracking and apologizing, but he wasn’t). And I love Ellen for what she said.

  • What!? The interview with Ellen’s up already???
But but but… I’m still at work!!! I can’t watch it yet!!!

    Oh Boohoo :-(

  • hooray Michael Slezak.

  • what is it about adam that i never get tired of watching and listening to him talk, sing, whatever he does..i just love him!

  • Can someone please ask Adam about PUU and Sleepwalker next time? Especially PUU. Love it!

  • Sorry if this is OT since we don’t want to talk about AMAs but this is really funny and cute. Jay Leno talking about Adam’s kiss.

  • Can we find another acronym for pick u up? Every time I see PUU I think of a bad smell….but I love the song!

LOL Maybe that’s why Slezak doesn’t like the song? Didn’t he say something about a bad smell under the dinner table in his track-by-track review?! ;)

ETA: BTW, I LOVE Pick U Up. It’s one of my favorites.

Wow, Jay’s writers did a great job with that. …. Funny, charming. … And more positive publicity that didn’t even note that Adam was from American Idol. Couldn’t get much better, if you ask me.

  • How about PICUP instead of PUU?

  • Thanks for Jay Leno’s video clip. It was funny.

  • Incredible interviews, both of them – interesting, informative, insightful. Michael Slezak’s interviews with Adam are always personal favorites, but Adam’s Sirius interview with Larry Flick on OutQ is absolutely fantastic. Flick’s done his homework. His questions and follow up are refreshingly literate and unique. Such a welcome change from the superficial crap spewed on entertainment and so-called news programs. Always impressed by Adam’s candid and thoughtful responses.

  • PICUP works for me (kinda like hiccup…)

  • By the way, did anyone else get a little choked up when larry flick told adam that he wished someone like adam had been around when he was younger etc. I thought that whole discussion was such a nice compliment and seemed really heartfelt

aa618892, actually, I agree. Funny, cute and lighthearted, and not at all meanspirited. Jay as Tommy was pretty funny, too.

Definitely heartfelt. I heard excerpts from an old interview Flick did with Adam. Does anyone know if the entire older interview is somewhere floating around in cyberspace?

The Jay Leno piece was very funny yet in a way kind of saying what’s the fuss. Love the Slezak interview and the Sirus interview. I so glad that we are talking about “Music Again” By the way have I mention how much I love the Album. I also wish that we could purchase the MV of fye from Ituens. I thought we would get it today.

  • Thanks, MJ, for these great interviews with Adam. I thought Slezak’s interview gave us some interesting information on Adam’s process of doing his songs. And the Sirius interview was so fun and open…really enjoyed it.

Adam is such a pleasure to watch and listen to!

  • Slezak’s interview was really good, but he missed a couple of songs (like PUU, Sleepwalker, and IICY) that I would have loved to hear them talk about (I thought he would go track by track). But it was comprehensive, and clearly Slezak had done his homework and was a fan. The interview with Larry Flick made me want to cry. Adam was so candid w/ Flick (who is very appreciative of tweets, BTW: @larryflick) and it was great to hear. Ellen’s interview sort of disappointed me, b/c I thought it would be longer and we had to go into AMAs and GMA again. That said, I think Adam has sort of reconsidered his stand on the issue, w/out apologizing (he should NEVER apologize, IMO). And he just gets better singing WWFM, which continues to take on meaning. I hope we can just move on and hear his beautiful voice and his music. The album is amazing and I hope it continues to sell well. I know the album been criticized (by EW, for example) for not being consistent. I disagree. There is a continuity w/in it, while he explores all sorts of genres, the way he did on Idol. He’s right, too, as he said with Slezak: it’s typical for mp3 buyers to just download tracks they like, to make their own setlist, and you can certainly do that with this album. But he puts his own spin on every single song, and that’s why I think it’s so great.

  • Both interviews are great. Thank you very much, mj.
I am such a crying baby; got choked up during Larry Flick’ s interview and cried when adam was talking about his heart and soul on Broken Open.
Now that we are going to talk about Music, I’m very happy with that. I’ve been staying out of the kitchen for a while because I couldn’t stand the heat.
The great thing about this album is our favouites change back and forth and depends on our moods. It’s a good thing to me. It means all of the songs are good and they are for everybody’s taste and mood. Like my experience of Thanksgiving Day here in the States, there were 5 delicious pies for me to choose. I went for the traditon of pumkin pie first and ended with the eggnog pie. They all were wonderful.
Back to the music- I’ll post more later. People usually skip a long post ranting like this one.
My absolute favourite song right now is “A LOADED SMILE”.
It’s the sexiest song and up above the next level of other songs that caught me before. It’s a gem hidden that I didn’t get it right away.
One night, in bed, with ipod and earphones on, I experienced an out of this world with A Loaded Smile that I’ll post later. The hint is 20 minutes of Ravel’s Borelo and A Loaded Smile. I reached for a cigarette and then realised I didn’t smoke. Just got up and had a glass of wine and chilled more oysters in case I got lucky again. :)

  • Great performance on Ellen, and I really loved their big hug after.

  • What a great morning. Love the interview with Michael.. his mom saying “come to momma” was funny.

I really loved the interview on the radio show. Funny, intimate, emotional…and fun…great interview.

Sounds great on Ellen. And thank you to the people who keep us updated. One of the great things about Mj’s. That hug…so sweet.

My husbands loves WWFM. This is significant only because he is not an Adam junkie and is judging the CD for music value only. I quote, “Wow, there really isn’t a bad song on there.”

  • Would love to get Adam’s reaction to the Leno bit. You know that you have made it when Leno is spoofing you. I agree, it was not mean spirited at all–just hilarious. Excellent radio interview. I saw part of it on popeater, when Adam was talking about his ugly duckling issues of the past. His facial expression is so genuine when he is sharing these intimate details. Check out MJ’s thread about the Ellen performance–my favorite WWFM of all!
