Adam Lambert to Perform a Bowie Medley on Tour
The media can’t get enough Adam Lambert.
Here’s another interview with Adam, posted on the front page of the Oprah.com website. In it Adam talks more about his upcoming album, and what he’ll be performing on the American Idols Live! summer tour:
I’m super excited. I just left rehearsal a few minutes ago. A little sneak preview: We’re doing a David Bowie medley as a closing part of my set. It’s so fresh. Three different songs. We’re kind of adding very modern touches to them so that they feel relevant, like 2009 interpretations of Bowie. I think people are really going to enjoy that. I’m excited. I’m singing ["Slow Ride"], the duet with Allison  on the tour every night. She is awesome, and I love sharing the stage with her.
Besides working with Lady Gaga producer, RedOne, Adam says he had a short list of producers for his upcoming album, and was able to connect with all of them. He’s also co-written already on a handful of tracks.
About Queen, and one of his musical heroes, Freddie Mercury, Adam said, “He was living in a time when you couldn’t be as honest and open about your lifestyle. I’m very fortunate to be in 2009, and I kind of feel like in some weird way this is for him and all the other artists who haven’t been able to be real.”

Oh I know that fabric very well, can’t tell you how exactly but it is a stretch fabric with glitter dots on it. You can also get glitter squares. Comes in every color you could possibly imagine. They do come in leggings, but it might just be a piece of fabric sewn in….

Don’t know why I have not thought about this before but: The Killers are another perfect example of how glittery pop rock from the 80s (and 70s) can be made current and (extremely) successful…
Many of the influences that have been cited for them are along the same lines of Adam’s (Bowie, Queen, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, The Cure, Ultravox, Madonna… well also Springsteen, but that’s another story).
With this thought in mind, with which I try to dislodge the one of Adam as the “male Lady Gaga”, I can go about my day with a smile.
Their concert schedule is crazy – it’s practically non stop. Kris and Adam are doing the Early Show concert series in NYC then they have a concert in NJ that same day.
And I think they have a show when they are sceduled to do a the top 40 for Ryan. I know these things are only are few hours at best but put in travel time and then preparing for the show, it has to be exhausting.
So does this mean he will be working with Missy Elliot too (since he managed to get all the producers he wanted)? I really hope so, she is really out there when it comes to dance tracks.

As far as where one would buy something like that, I know that American Apparel sells metallic leggings, and then there are always stores that cater to strippers etc. (sad to say that I’ve seen several here in downtown Vancouver. Icky.)…..
…I’ll say this – I’m all for low-rise(!), but Mr. Lambert needs to learn how to pull up his pants. Saggy-butt just ain’t sexy! LOL
