If he wants a good look that might suit him, perhaps he might contact Gareth Pugh, the lastest enfant terrible of London fashion,

Oh, Pugh! Le sigh. If only I had the dinero, I’d dye my hair black and never eat carbs and wear Pugh… I don’t know about Pugh for Adam. He’d look amazing in some of those trenches especially, but I sorta imagine in his heart of hearts Adam’s always been more glittery than gothic. I’m not surprised he’s veering towards the bestudded and bedazzled. And lolz to 100 odd posts about a jacket. Huzzah for fashionista Idols!

  • Mary102:

You cant hug him wearing that without getting stabbed, can you?

LOL! Oh, no! Keeping the rabid fans at bay ;-)

I too love the jacket, but even more, I love Adam’s excitement about the jacket! (Yeah, US Weekly Kradam interview: “My JACKET!”)

But after seeing a recent pic of one of Lady Gaga’s costumes, Adam’s got to step up his game!

Love the jacket. Love Adam’s glittery, be-studded, fierce self. Can’t wait to see it in person!

  • Squirrely:

There are 2 Billboard vid interviews up with Adam (saw links on Twitter) pretty sure they aren’t here on the blog yet, but don’t know how (or if I am allowed) to post the links! Help anyone??

they are in the 7/3 headlines LisaE posted them

Loving the jacket; it’s glittery, fierce and other-worldly ‘“ a custom fit. About the tour song order, I did read the report on TWoP and that was the rehearsal order, but Adam has definitely said he was closing with Bowie, so hmmm, it’s confusing. Maybe they just changed up the rehearsal order because Allison had to be elsewhere. It didn’t sound like it was a dress rehearsal. I guess we’ll know when the Portland spoilers come out ‘“ YAY!

About Kathy Griffin, I’ve read (yes, third-hand information) that she was a huge Adam fan from the beginning, so I’m not too worried. I think it could be fantastic. Initially, I wasn’t a big fan, still have little use for “Life on the D List,” but one Sunday, Bravo was running a marathon of her stand-up and I started watching it for some reason. Before long, I was in tears. She is crazy fearless (like Adam), but I have to say, I laughed my ass off.

I think she’ll be more fangirly than anything else. And I think Adam will definitely give as good as he gets.

Later on the poster says Adam’s set list is the following (performed in this order at rehearsal):

    Whole Lotta Love
    Starlight
    Bowie Medley
    Mad World
    Slow Ride

This running order puzzles me a bit, firstly because of what Adam has said in a couple of interviews about him ending his set with the Bowie Medley and also because the poster on TWOP mentions this:

There’s a riser and dry ice like what Adam had for Mad World. Danny almost fell into the riser when he was trying to make a cool move.

If there is a similar lift thing to what Adam used for his entrance for Mad World at the final, I can’t see them missing the opportunity to use it again in the same way on tour .. which would mean that if the above order is correct then Adam will have to leave the stage after the Bowie Medley and then come back on via the riser for Mad World … of course it would also make a fabulous entrance if he used the same effect to start his set off with WLL.

It just seems a strange performance order to me .. ending with a ballad after such a high energy set and the Bowie Medley … to me it would make more sense to open up with Mad World then really get the crowd into a frenzy with the other numbers

Mary102, with all due respect Adam doesn’t need to step up his game in the costume department. He is not competing with Lady GaGa or anyone else. He wears what goes with the music!!!!

This JACKET ROCKS!!!!! Adam will look AMAZING in it as he does in everything he wears! The man has STYLE!!!

ADAM ROCKS MY WORLD (ROCK & SEX GOD)!!!

    ADAM IS PURE PERFECTION!!!

  • kijico3:

    thanks Suirrely!

Not if he’s slowing it down so it’s not such a drastic jump from his set to Kris’s

  • Squirrely:

That may not be the order, he said he was ending his set w/ Bowie countless times

  • karenw:

But then the order posted seems to indicate that the Alison/Adam Slow Ride duet would be between Adam and Kris’s set .. which isn’t exactly slowing it down.

But I guess like others have said it may just have been a sound check kind of rehearsal and not a full run through in order.

  • GlamGirlLee:

Maybe Alison and Adam will both enter together with the lift? Then Adam could do WLL, Mad World (to give his vocals a break and more dramatic effect, cuz he is good like that), Starlight and then Bowie Medley. I also seem to recall Adam repeatedly saying he is closing his set with Bowie.

  • GlamGirlLee:

Want to add that Kris really does not need babying from Adam. He does not need Adam to “slow down” for Kris. He can hold his own. He doesn’t go at full blast like I personally like, most of the time, but he does sing beautifully. Sometimes we all need our ears to rest. It will be a nice, probably dramatic transition from Adam to Kris, just my guess. :smile_wp:

  • dflowers:

Hazehel, Not sure about Gareth Pugh’s clothes for Adam. They look a little too Darth Vader meets Alice in Wonderland for my taste. Altho I did like some of the trenches.

I do like the “tease” of Adam’s jacket. I’ve liked all the jackets he’s worn so far.

  • Natasha:

Adam said somewhere that he closes his set with the Bowie medley and I hope that’s still true. Maybe they do need to slow things down for Kris though. He’s a mellow guy.

The jacket is fierce. Totally fierce.

  • GeminiDolly:

I dont understand this talk of having to slow it down for Kris? Kris doesnt need any slowin down, he is capable of putting on his own version of a rockin show!

he should totally have fire coming out of his ‘python’.

Because it’s a completely different vibe. It’s like Jason Castro following David Cook. You can either jam on the breaks or ease into it.

But if there is a chance for flames to be shooting out of this thing, I want to see it :biggrin_wp:

I think I just need a Lady Gaga/Adam duet where they just go all out in the costume, theatrics department – that would be hot!

But I agree, the jacket, and Adam’s set, will be on fire anyways!

And as for song order, either SR or Bowie Medley will be high energy, and a good way to end, but based on what Adam said, I’m going with Bowie ending the set, unless, for some logistical or other reason, they decided to change it up.

IIRC most of the AI shows had the riser, similar to what Adam used in the finale in MW – and something like that has been used by the idols before to make their entrances. MW starting the set with this kind of entrance would be awesome, but then again, WLL, with those opening rock chords, may be the PERFECT way to introduce Adam and start his set.

    Oh, the excitement!

  • oceana:

I rather like the new set list order, if that’s what it turns out to be. Kind of calming down and “wrapping it up” to round out his set. I think either song order will work out, and I trust Adam’s instincts. Maybe he changed his mind or is trying out different possibilities.

  • Mary102:

And I think SR ending the set would be about as high energy as the Bowie medley – so either would work fine. SR just has some crazy happy energy surrounding it, with the Adison interactions to add to the effect. I think I’m looking more forward to seeing the two of them together on stage performing than of necessarily hearing the song again :-)

If they could just work in some Kradam moments too (say, during the closing group number) I would be on cloud 9!
