2nd Update: Allison’s CD is also streaming at AOL HERE.

Update: The entire album is streaming HERE.   If you download the MP3s, PLEASE buy the entire album.

Well. Sorta.

Allison Iraheta’s debut album, Just Like You is streaming live on My Space, but only the odd numbered songs are posted at the moment.   I’ll assume the even numbers will go up fairly soon.

I’ll update the post when the entire album goes live.

But in the meantime, enjoy half the album. Heh.

    LoveDaRocker: Hope Z100 adds her.

My wife says they and KIIS are notorious for interviewing people but not adding them. Bleh.

alli lurker: She says No One Else is her favorite song on the album, and she’s said before that she can’t wait to do that one live. Maybe she’ll choose that one for GMA?

I suspect that she’s not the one who got to choose for that. My bet is on DWTP as both the second GMA song (she’d better get two!) and the second single, since that’s the second song mentioned in the promo materials along with FIBOU.

It would be fun to have another live performance of a different song to add to our ‘collection’.

Yes indeed, but even if it’s one we’ve already gotten, it’ll be way different because it’ll be with the full band.

Speaking of No One Else being her favorite (which she mentioned quite a while back along with Holiday), does it strike anyone else as a bit weird that it’s her favorite while DWTP was her least favorite? Now, I typically pay almost no attention to lyrics, so I’m going by just a general impression of what those two songs are about. But when she said to Lyndsey Parker that she wasn’t crazy about DWTP, she mentioned preferring angry/angsty songs — aren’t both DWTP and No One Else kind of, I don’t know, “heartwarming” sorts of “you’re so great” songs? Or is it that I’m totally out to lunch and should just go pay attention to the lyrics before I spout my mouth off??

JohnM – You may be right about DWTP (and we know it’ll be fantastic live), time will tell. I’m not a big fan of the DWTP studio recording (love the acoustic), but the younger fans (and you!) seem to like it.

I wouldn’t mind hearing another song from the album, though. I think they could save the next single for a separate promotion. I still want it to be You Don’t Know Me!

Maybe she now likes No one else because something in her life has happened that she now feels happy and relates to that song :) She may not be as angry now as she was when she chose the songs, perhaps the girl is happy about something LOL!

Did everybody see that MJ has a new link to a stream at AOL? They also provide the lyrics to some of songs there – which is nice. Just Like You’s lyrics are totally wrong, though.

    Let’s go with that!

    Let’s go with that!

The girl deserves some happiness too, right?

Wow… I just listened to the whole album end to end for the first time on the AOL stream. What an amazing album!! Even Robot Love sounds good to me. I was on my feet for D is for Dangerous. Oh man, I love that song! I got up again for No One Else. I could see a whole stadium of sway bots when she sings that song live! Its so good! I stayed on my feet for Beat Me Up – and let’s just say its a good thing nobody else is here right now… it coulda been embarrassing! And I guess I never thought of You Don’t Know Me as a dance song, but guess what – it is!

So now, hearing it like this… I think I put D is for Dangerous, No One Else, and You Don’t Know Me on equal footing – with You Don’t Know Me as still my pick for the next single or at least *a* single.
