Odd that Kris’ album has not been an Amazon Black Friday week special. Maybe it will be on the sale list tomorrow.
I love this sale! You don’t get the digital booklet like you would on Itunes, but it’s still well worth it…can’t beat $5 for a whole album’s worth of songs! I went a little nuts last night and bought quite a few including albums by Brooke, Phil, and Jordin as well as Owl City’s new one, Sara Baraeilles, Natasha Bedingfield, and Mandy Moore’s latest entitled Amanda Leigh. Good stuff!

I had all the idol music I wanted, Jordin, Kelly, David A, but I did get a few others I’d been meaning to get Seal, Regina Specktor, Mary Mary….not a bad deal…oh yeah!

Just got back from my RL shopping excursions and while I was there I checked the music departments of various stores to see how things were progressing.
Best Buy: They had Adam on a special rack with the Hot Sellers – GaGa, Rihanna, etc. It looks like they had devoted 3 sections to him, nothing was left. GaGa had maybe 4 sections and some product left; lots of Rihanna cds left on the shelf. Kris – you had to look for him under “A” for Allen, but they had a special placard, about the size of an index card with his name on it that made it easier to find; maybe 4 cds there. Adam was on sale for $9.99, I think Kris was full price at $13.98.
Walmart: Adam, Kris, GaGa, Miley and others all grouped together with tons of product for everyone. Kris looked like he had a little less product left than Adam. I don’t think anyone was on sale.
Target: Again, Adam was in a special upfront section with GaGa, 50 Cent, Rihanna and others, all on sale for $9.98. There was product left for Adam but they had quite a bit of space devoted to him, so I’m sure he’d sold a bunch. Kris was back in the alpha listing with a lot of product on the shelf (maybe 15 cds) and I don’t think he was on sale. Subo was everywhere at Target – they had tons of her stuff left, but maybe they had just stocked up in anticipation of big sales.
I work at MTV and I receive most CDs much earlier than released. I received Allison’s CD about a week and a half ago and it is the best of the Idol releases so far. Go buy it, Idol fans – you won’t be disappointed!

They don’t list SuBo. Is it because they have her in a different category? They seem to have alot of sections. Since her album is all covers, perhaps they don’t consider it pop?

I bought my 7th or 8th copy of FYE tonight (Friday) at WalMArt in Cali. It was $9.98. All the SuBo CDs were GONE!! Adam had fewer CDs left than Kris, but who knows how many they started with. I’m in a pretty redneck area of Cali.
I’m giving FYE to friends.
I didn’t know rednecks were into Susan Boyle?
Boyle’s story is the real deal and very heart warming…unlike Adam’s.
