American Idol 10 Top 12 – The Results!

RESULTS: Karen Rodriguez sings “Hero” for her life. THE JUDGES DO NOT SAVE HER.

That was unbelievably…undramatic. Second week in a row, I guess who was going home! Hooray for me! I got the B3 wrong, though. Thinking it through, Thia will probably be safe for awhile, because she came into the competition with a fanbase from AGT and some of the other things she’s done. She’s not going to win, but she’ll make the tour.

Randy mentioned that the decision to send Karen home was NOT unanimous. I’m guessing Jennifer wanted to keep her. But, c’mon. Karen would have been eliminated next week or the week after. It would have been a waste of a perfectly good save.

I’m going to miss Karen’s tweets! She was awesome about keeping fans informed of the backstage comings and goings. She seems like a really nice girl too. And she can sing. But her song choices were dire.  No matter.  She’ll probably be able to carve out a nice career singing Spanish-language stuff. Telemundo…her she comes!

I’m expecting ANOTHER girl to go home next week. Yep, like usual, I anticipage the tour will be a sausage fest.

Live blog and VIDEOS after the JUMP…

Tonight one more American Idol 10 contestant will be sent packing. In between the results, Season 9 champ Lee DeWyze will perform his new single “Beautiful Like You” and the Black Eyed Peas will perform.

The show begins with the kids talking about what they wanted to be when they grew up. Then…the judges ranting about how HOT this years contestants are

Here come the judges. Jlo has some sort of cream colored mini-dress thingy on. Awww. It’s a photo of Lee DeWyze at 1 year. And baby black eyed peas. Both are performing tonight.

Test 90999 to the Red Cross for Japan relief.

What…no vote totals? Hm.

POINTY POSE. “Born to Be Wild”/”Born This Way” mashup between the boys and girls. Oh this is live. No doubt. So many mistakes. BUT I LOVES IT. LONG LIVE THE POINTY POSE!!!

Ford music video is next. “Val Kilmer”.  The kids always love watching back their pimpmercial.

250 million downloads have been generated. New compilation CD has come out. It’s just like Oprah! Everyone in the audience gets a free copy.

Now, it’s filler time!  “Something America Doesn’t Know About Me”.  Why aren’t they filming stuff in the mansion?

DIM THE LIGHTS HERE WE GO.  Ha ha. Kieran has his own Irish theme tonight. Heh.

Lauren Alaina, Jacob Lusk and Casey Abramss take the stage. After the nationwide vote…Jacob is SAFE.  What are the ingredients in the Goop, Steven?  ALL Three are SAFE.

Haley Reinhart and Paul McDonald take the stage.  One is safe! One is B3! This is a no brainer…Paul is SAFE. Haley is B3.

Jlo’s bestie, PITBULL IS IN THE HOUSE sitting next to her husband.

Here comes LEE DEWYZE to sing his new single “Beautiful Like You”.  Lee’s killing it. For Realz.  Lee tells the kids to remember why they tried out in the first place, they’ll be OK no matter what happens.

After the break, it’s back to the results. Scotty McCreery, Pia Toscano and James Durbin take center stage.  ALL three are safe.

Naima Adedapo and Stefano Langone take center stage. One is safe. One is in the B3.  Stefano is SAFE. Naima is in the B3.

Karen Rodriguez and Thia Megia take center stage. One is SAFE one is in the B3. Thia is sent back to the couches.

Next  WORLD PREMIERE PERFORMANCE of “Just Can’t Get Enough” from Black Eyed Peas. They dedicate it to the Japanese people. Auto-Tune for the win! Eh.

BACK!  Naima is sent back to the couch first. Haley is sent back second.   KAREN RODRIGUEZ MUST SING FOR HER LIFE. She performs “Hero”.  She’s begging to stay. Sadz. She did a nice job on her singout.  The decision was NOT UNANIMOUS. The Save will NOT be used tonight. Randy delivers the bad news.

Goodbye Karen Rodriguez

POINTS FOR MEEEEE.

Bottom 3

  • Haley Reinhart Sent back second
  • Naima Adedapo Sent back first
  • Karen Rodriguez
