We told you that the American Idol Showcase round was coming back this season. Now, it has a venue and a date! The On Air Camera website, which manages the studio audiences for Idol, is advertising December 8 as the date for the Showcase round, and the Dolby Theater as the venue:
For the first time ever, American Idol is inviting fans to be in the live audience as the Top 50 perform live!
It may be the farewell season, but this is a first for American Idol… Join a very intimate group of fans and watch the top 50 perform live in front of the judges! The show will be taped inside Hollywood’s historic Dolby Theater on Tuesday, December 8th. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of the American Idol experience!
As you’ve just read YOU can sit in the audience and watch the Top 50 sing! Of course we want you all to go and come back with detailed reports. Heh. Click here to get your ticket.
Also, The Idol Pad has completed their list of the Top 51. Check out the full list HERE. There are twice as many girls as boys. It looks like American Idol is looking to close out the show’s historic run with a female winner.
