On last week’s American Idol, NASCAR drivers Ryan Blaney and Bubba Wallace surprised the finalists to inform them that the Top Five would be singing “God Bless America” prior to the start of the Nascar Sprint Cup Series Auto Club 400 race airing live on FOX from the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana California.
The race took place Sunday afternoon, and here are the five remaining American Idol finalists, MacKenzie Bourg, La’Porsha Renae, Sonika Vaid, Trent Harmon and Dalton Rapattoni singing the patriotic favorite, “God Bless America” before the racers got down to business.
The quintet started the song in perfect unison, before breaking out in harmony. It was a lovely, reverent way to kick off the big NASCAR race!
