With the big Idol finale week coming up, there’s lots of promotional appearances on the various talk shows. Simon Cowell will make the rounds, making sure we the sheep know exactly who to vote for… And the American Idol winner will appear on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Larry King Live (with the rest of the Top 10) later in the week.

I’m glad Chris Sligh gets to be part of the Wednesday night “fun,” although I’d rather see him on the finale singing a duet with Jason.
I miss Jason, and Carly, and MJ, and Rami, and Chiki. I feel like that lady that used to look thru what looked like an empty mirror and she would say, i see casey and emily, jackie, jamie etc. cripe i can’t remember who that was and what the show was. wanna say Romper Room but i don’t think so.

I know the first AI only hd a top 10 to begin with but… why not have all 12 on tour and on press? Why bother with a top 12 – why not just go from top 24 down to 10? Geez.

I still wish that Amanda, David H and Danny would have made the tour. It would have been very entertaining!

On the LKL site they say the top 2 will be taking your calls along with the 8 finalists. There’s also a show with the top 10 on Mon. the 26th. I heard they’d be showing some rehearsing for the tour although that’s not supposed to start until June.
Michael Johns was invited by David Foster to perform on his special “David Foster & Friends” which is being filmed in Vegas this Fri. He has said in an interview that he will be there. It conflicts with the LKL show so I’m not sure what will happen.
I think Michael Johns canceled the Foster thing. I guess the conflict with AI.
Actually, a Larry King/Archie interview has the potential to be hilarious. It might even be funner than the class LKL intervew with Diana D, Elliott and Bucky over Antonellagate. That was funny from the minute he mispronounced their names to the end when you realized Elliott and Bucky had no idea why they were there and just wanted to promote their albums. Plus a lot of talk about teeth.
Hoping Larry/Archie is half as funny.
Never thought about a Larry and Archie interview. The potential for hilarity is most certainly there. I can see Larry asking his old weirdo questions, the completely puzzled look on Little Davie’s face and then the whispered “lines” coming in from off camera.
Either that, or Daddy will storm the desk.
I’ll be heart broken if Cook looses, but this would certainly take the sting off.

Where did you hear that, Jpfan? I’ve been looking and can’t find anything either way. I thought there was a possibility that he could do both and be on a live feed from Vegas. Probably wishful thinking but you never know.

I don’t follow Micheal Johns so I don’t have any updated info. I just read that on TWOP that LKL and the Foster thing were the same time and he’d pulled out. I think appearing on LKL is better than doing a Vegas gig but that’s just my opinion.
Sorry, I get the top 9 thing. They should all take advantage of all the promo they can get. Once they’re off the show, it won’t be so easy to get back on national TV.
I believe Mj meant the winner and 9 finalists, Jpfan. I guess I’ll have to wait and see on Michael. I know LKL is good but the David Foster concert will be televised in the fall so is also not too bad. Like I said, I’d love for him to be able to do both.

LOL, I didn’t even think about LKL and Archie (shudders) which brings up the point; if AI were to lower the age, then they’d be flooding all the interview shows. Nah, please AI, please go with the age range of 18-30.
OMG- did everyone here grow up near Chicago? I was in Naperville from ages 2-11 (1965-76), then we moved to Ottawa.
I had forgotten about Garfield Goose and BJ & the Dirty Dragon. I think there were only 3 channels back then. AND….you had to get up to change the channel! Oh, the horror…..
I also got in a lot of trouble, sneaking to watch the Ghoul, Midnight Special and Don Kirshners!

Does anyone know if Clay Aiken will be on Craig Ferguson’s Late Late Show (CBS-TV) tonight, Wednesday, 5/21, or anytime later this week? Clay was scheduled to be a guest last night (Tues.), but wasn’t on.
