    Show 10
    Current mood: optimistic

Yay TOP TEN. Tenth show. Tonight we were in Archie Land AKA Salt Lake City, Utah. Every show feels like Archie Land though and Jason’s World. Like My name for it? :) It’s so amazing to see statues made of Jason and Ukulele colored like the rainbow and Archie Angel shirts. It’s so sweet. Fans really go out of there way sometimes. It’s always a good feeling when you are arriving on the bus and you see everyone screaming holding signs and posters, wearing cool and creative shirts. I honestly don’t see much of it city from to city, but when I do I really am appreciative. It makes my entire day when I see Syesha Supporters in the crowd. Oh LO!

Today I was looking out in the crowd before my third song and to the left of me in the stand I saw a sign that said “Syesha is my American Ido”l. Awwwwllll how nice. I felt so good after that. My heart smiled a little. I looked for the person holding that sign after the show but I couldn’t find them. I got through everyone today…I was on mission, but unfortunately there wasn’t a lot of time for pics. Just to remind everyone again all the Idols including myself feel horrible when we can’t get to everyone. The worse feeling is when you aren’t even half way through the signing process and security whispers in your ear 10min. :( We always try our best. Right before we do the signing outside we have a meet and greet inside and they can take a while and take away time from getting outside.

I love ya’ll sooo much. Because of my fans I am able to go on tour. Well pray helped and positive thinking as well. But, the fans were really dedicated and helpful throughout the entire Idol Experience. I can’t thank you enough. If I was Oprah I’d give everyone a gift to tell you how much I care. LOL I’m not good with jokes, but it made me laugh a little..oh lo lo lo lo! LOL :)

So, traveling is the best thing ever. Last night me, Rami, And David C. went out to eat and chatted a lil. We walked a good distance as well. It was nice. And since I haven’t been working out as much I was able to get some exercise in.

Upon my arrival to Salt Lake City I immediately felt peaceful vibrations. I loved the view of the mountains from a distance and tracks that run throughout the city. Everything looked green and vibrant, yet slow and vacant. And walking the streets it felt so deserted and was really quiet. Don’t know where the people went. Well, it was a Sunday.

Today before the meet and greet I stationed myself at a table and used it to do some crunches. Hey whenever I can find the time I use it. It’s so important to take care of your body now, because when you get older it will take care of you. Besides, when you work out and eat healthy you feel better. DO what you can! Everyone is different do what works for you.

Mmmmmmm…..what else happened today. Uuuuummmm….I just remember coming outside for the signing and puddles of water were every where. I don’t know but I think it was because the crowd was a little rowdy…

I was impatient and wanting to hear some reviews since last night was special so I go snooping on TWOP and found these quotes that were great. I’ll post in honor or Lil D’s first concert home!

There was a lady who told David that I want you to be my son and David didn’t quite hear it so the lady repeated it again and David said “oh I thought you said you wanted my son” and everyone laughed and he giggled.

Archie’s dad: I ask him if he remembers me from LA, he says yes, and I remind him that we were all wearing cook shirts and were kinda afraid to talk to him in them, and he’s like “but see, I don’t discriminate, I love cook too” and then Jason walks up, and he jokes like “yeah, I even like Jason”, and Jason laughs…the other idols really seem to like him, I think he’s a good guy

  4. 4 IGetCranked Jul 15th, 2008 at 9:08 am

Ok these two together made me sniffle.. gawd

I get another picture with dadchuleta, then I start talking to archie about how loud the screams for him were, and that he deserved it, and he’s all bashful of course and is like “I really love introducing cook and hearing the crowd scream really loud right before I stay his name…” (HOW SWEET.)…and then I explain the weird “da bomb” coincidence to archie again, and just as I’m done explaining it, cook comes over, taps archie on the shoulder and is like “did you really say that? ‘cook is da bomb dot com’??” and laughs and says “that’s the coolest thing you’ve ever said about me, thank you, really…” and he’s still laughing and poking at archie, who’s all bashful and laughing embarrassedly and he’s like “Sorry, I’m a nerd!” to cook and it’s HILARIOUS and adorable to the max.

Then we went around and we went to where Cook was and my daughter told Cook that he was her 2nd favorite and Cook ask who was her first and my daughter said Archuleta and Cook said , me too, he is my first.

If you haven’t already done so, you gotta check out David’s rendition of Hello in this show. He changed it up towards the end, and it was wonderful!!! He never ceases to amaze me. A breath of fresh air, if I do say so myself! :)

Thanks for the anecdotes, IGC. Are you going to write a full recap for us? :)

purplesmile, unfortunetly, I got those quotes from TWOP. They were from a few days ago. I wish I could have been there last night! Thanks for the blogs you post too!

ETA After reading that first quote, I’m wondering if Archie is getting a naughty mind. hee

Boy, Syesha needs to get over her victim mentality.

No doubt a handywork of Michael Johns’.

Oh hey, they’ve changed up their costumes :) Glad to hear Archie had a great hometown show (part 1)! And yay for Sy continuing to blog the tour stops. It’s always cool to get a peek into their daily routine. It must be nice to have these rare two-day stops - I’m sure they’re grateful for a full night’s sleep in a real bed.

Wow, so DC is gonna keep the backbend :D Gr, the one bad thing about having an early tour stop is that they think of all these cool things to do during the show AFTER they’ve left!

I love his version’s of Hello! I really hope he records that. Saying that, it is always hard to here any of his songs the screams are always so loud, lol.

Great close-up vid of Archie’s WYSYLM, with him wiping his tears at the end.

Wow, so DC is gonna keep the backbend :D

According to fan reports, that’s not happening again for a while since he hurt his knee in SLC last night.

  16. 16 colette Jul 15th, 2008 at 4:22 pm

cookie also did the backbend in Tacoma. Cool, but not worth the orthopedic bills.

Re: Syesha. The girlfriend needs to get over herself. She’s very pretty, has a lot of pizazz and a decent voice. But she isn’t Whitney, Alicia, or any other those other gals. She pushes way out of her natural range vocally, and really needs a mentor/manager/mus or whatever to help her figure out the right material and range for herself or she’s going to keep turning a lot of the audience off.

At the Tacoma, they started out on her side, and then you could feel the attention drift and the shoutier and more off pitch she got.

that’s the sort of self-help that will help her have a career….

  17. 17 colette Jul 15th, 2008 at 4:24 pm

sorry, I meant getting that mentor/manager/muse advice is what she needs to have a decent career. in case that wasn’t clear. Got it, Syesha? Really honey, you gotta shot but it’s not just about confidence…it’s also about skill!

  18. 18 cookcricket Jul 15th, 2008 at 4:32 pm

OkIGetCranked, first you had me laughing. In fact I took my dog outside right after reading about DA’s response to that lady and was still laughing.
Then I come back in and read the next comment (re: Cook) and get tears in my eyes. Wow, I can’t help but love these guys!

  19. 19 IGetCranked Jul 15th, 2008 at 5:24 pm

Wow, I can’t help but love these guys!

We certainly have chemistry/talent overload this year! I’m almost scared to watch next year.

I can’t believe we don’t have recaps from last night! Where are all you peeps? I’m counting on you!

Archie is getting a little naughty, good for him! Just a little though! So glad SLC showed the love for this adorable and talented young man. Love the relationships they are all forging. This show bonds you, this year seems like an incredibly close group.

Sye, it’s not Archie and Jason’s fault for being so loved. You know they are going to get a lot of attention, they are both adorable and approachable. Sye should be happy as heck, she came in 3rd for goodness sake. Yeah she is getting overshadowed by Archie, Cook and Jason that’s a given. Just be happy that you are on tour playing big venues and getting paid, geez Louise. What does she expect, hundreds of Fanesha fans waiting outside of each venue holding signs of admiration, NOT..she is such a diva. Sye, your not the next Alicia Keys, your more a Vonzel.

I am so glad that Archie received the support from his hometown and being able to sell out both nights must feel really great. Just think that 6 years ago he was in the audience at an idol show watching his idol Tamyra.

I seems as if the crowd went crazy for her at the end… She got a huge standing o… In fact, that probably was the best song anyone has ever heard her sing, even better than anything she’s done on the show… I smell a hater…

Uh oh… another hater… Syesha was happy for David and Jason… she was obviously saying how happy she was to see Syesha signs and how happy she gets when she does see them… Geez… you people amaze me sometimes with all the hating. All this girl ever does is pour her heart out and you people just step on it. I smell another Jennifer Hudson coming…

Wow, thanks Caffiend. I think that’s the first time I felt moved by Archuleta’s singing. That was really, really touching. Love him!
