I’m glad he kicked that thing with some ferocity. It was an ugly toy and it hit him!

When you tell your fans its ok to throw things and he can’t wait to see what they come up with next. This is what is going to happen.GLAD HE KICKED IT???
Really do you think if it hit a fan in the face the fan would of been GLAD?If it hit a kid (young)in the eye you would of been GLAD?Now he has shown that he gets pissed off if toys hit him.I’m sure adam haters would not throw things at him just to get him mad.How many fans did he piss off doing that 1 may be 2.Will they not go to his solo shows now.

austinmidwife, thanks for the videos! Amazing!

Hey, I was at the show last night in Rochester. Had a 5th row, floor seat! Some observations:

    - Wow, Adam is quite the performer. Someone said he was sick, but I’m doubting that. His voice is absolutely amazing. There was a girl standing in the aisle right next to me, with a sign and he came over almost at the edge of the stage and totally made eye contact with all of us. We were going nuts! Also, saw him make eye contact with many people in the audience.

Awesome! Adam’s talking voice during the Hamilton vids sounded fine, so I’m guessing it’s not as serious as laryngitis (fingers crossed) and he’s just resting, staying away from the M&Gs etc to keep things from getting aggrevated. I get so nervous for him, though, for any kind of health issues.

I think my favorite is this one (not only for Adam but if you look at the video camera on the left, you will note that the camera operator has a little stuffed sheep mounted on his camera’“so hilarious!).

How is anyone, though, seriously looking at the camera man with a pic like that of Adam ;-)

  • NewFan:

    Let’s see.
Critical (of Adam) statement. (“When you … this is what is going to happen”) Critical (of fan) sarcastic question (Glad he kicked it?)
Critical (of fan) sarcastic question (would you have been glad?)
Critical (of Adam) statement (Now he has shown …)
Defensive statement (?) (I’m sure Adam haters …)

Contradictory, backpedaling questions (How many fans did he piss off doing that 1 or 2? … will they not go to his solo shows now?)

    This does not compute.
Will you be going to one of Adam’s solo shows?

(I’m not sure, but I think I might have broken some rules here. If so, sorry in advance.)

  • AA foreva:

After seeing the kicking incident on film Adam may have written off soccer too soon.

Ask me after his music comes out.

and yes i was being Critical of Adam’s statement

  • NewFan:

    OK We’ll wait.
But I suspect that you’ve already made up your mind about the music maker and his fans.

  • steve:

WOW-So being pissed off about something that not only could hurt a fan (adams or not) and hurt adams career means i hate his music.I’m not like some people i don’t wear blinders when it comes to AI.I love ALLISON she was my favorite. The worst song i have seen to date on the tour.Lets make this clear out of all 10 idols. Was “so what” in DC it sucked but its ok the sun came up the next day.

I know its hard for some fans to think that others can see bad things but still like the singer. If adam comes out with “lady GA GA” music it would be a waste of great vocals.Just like if ALLISON came out with disney music it would be a waste.

  • Glamour:

One thing you have to remember with Idol. They are all great performers and singers, but they are singing karaoke. Until they come out with their own material, that’s when the true test begins. Either the general public & critics love it or hate it. You also have a short window of opportunity to hit the mark, because this time next year there will be a whole new crop of Idols vying for your attention.

I was at the concert last night too. 5th row as well. I thought many performances were better last night rather than on the show. Some surprises- Michael, Megan and Anoop. They all sounded and looked better than on the show. Matt, by far my favorite, was great. I can’t wait til he has his own album. He is so much better without the pressure. Alison and Danny were good, but not too much different than the show. I’m still not an Adam fan, so even though many were screaming for him, he is still not my cup of tea. He was good, but I think is energy was better on the show. Kris, I thought he was better on the show. And I felt bad that many sat for his set.

I was happy that I met some after the show. Too bad fan favorites, Adam, Anoop and Danny didnt. Many were disappointed

  • NewFan:

By all means lash out at Adam if you want to. But maybe not his fans … not for having opinions that are no less valid than your own. I am not angry at you for being pissed off but I do object to your reacting so sarcastically toward another fan who happens to have the same opinion that I do. Yes. Sensitive much. So, take the last word if you like. I’ll move on to another thread before this gets further out of hand. See you there … on a lighter note I hope.

  • yinyang:

Great photos, conklas! Thanks for sharing them. It looks like you had great seats!

  • Glamour:

    - Megan has a very interesting voice – much better live than on TV.

    - Was surprised by Michael Sarver too – he has a very good voice! I hope he goes into country.

    - Thought Matt Giroud was excellent as well. He looked like he was really into the music and was feeling it. He’s a really good singer too.

    - Scott was excellent as well – again much better live than on TV.

  • yinyang:

So, kick-gate continues. The latest video posted has me changing my mind, and now thinking that it was the “toy”. Either way, he might have a sports career ahead, based on that kick.

I doubt he’ll lose any fans over the kick, but am glad that no one got hurt. I kind of got the feeling that Adam was surprised at the kick, too, (he seemed to give a glance back to see where the object went), and probably just meant to move it out of the way, so it wouldn’t be in a dangerous location — but of course, I’m reading way too much into a little video clip.

This tour is a learning process for the performers, and I’m guessing that Adam might rethink how he’d handle this all, including now how to handle things if he gets hit by something again. When you’re new at something, you sometimes make mistakes that you wouldn’t make later in your career.

Matt’s passion and emotion while performing is why I fell in love with him in the first place. IMO no other contestant this season or actually any season has this vulnerability and passion for music or at least doesn’t show it. Love that Matt wears his heart on his sleeve.

Great Matt Tour interview. This writer has been having interviews with the Idol’s and Lil Rounds is tomorrow. I know she already posted Megan’s but not sure who else…sorry.

Oh and and someone posted last night that Matt has been receiving bad reviews reguarly now and well it’s not true. He received a bad review in Greensboro, Long Island, and Rochester but hell the Rochester review wasn’t great for any of them. And really how many records has Rod Stewart sold? Also everyone including Adam has received less than stellar reviews. Good luck to them all!

    Thank You!!!!

Hoping reported paddle tossing tonight in Hartford not happening. For every reason including I’ll be there. Next to the stage. In the countryside right now with no cellphone reception so can’t hook up phone to Twitter. But will observe closely all known areas of interest. And do best to identify any new ones. It’s a bit of drive back, but will try to update late.

Just back from a weekend away starting with the Hamilton show Friday night. Interesting that the videos sound okay because his talking voice sure didn’t sound fine live IMO. As for kickgate, geesh, Adam is getting blamed for kicking something out of his way that hit him? Give me a break! It hit him. It probably stung. He was a tad ticked and kicked it out of the way. If people wouldn’t throw these stupid things he wouldn’t have to kick them out of his way or Danny wouldn’t almost fall on his butt slipping on something that was thrown his way. ’nuff said and thumbs up to Adam to telling people not to throw stuff at him.

Aside from that, it was an awesome show but I do think he is having vocal issues…..he just didn’t sound top notch to me but it didn’t stop him from performing like a trooper!
