I have a friend (an amazing singer) who has always been just a bit too old for Idol (even when they raised the age limit, he missed out), but as DUMB as AGT is, we may have convinced him to audition next year. For nothing else then, if you win, you get a cool million bucks.

Did you notice that the 3 main vocalist when they sing Umbrella were the 3 teenagers brothers and not the sisters or mixed.

What a genius! Considering Jonas Brothers was the hottest boy bands now in US. And just be fair, you didnot need to sing real good to had a number 1 album in US. Jonas Brothers were the example. I had heard they sing live few times. In Dancing with The Stars and SYTYCD, and they had so many picthy issues.

If the Taubyl Family wanted to win real bad, they had to keep the strategy, 3-4 brothers were the main vocalist, others sisters and parents were background music players. Kept choosing the hottest song in US.

If they did this, they had a chance into top 8 or even top 4.

If they chose oldies unpopular song again, hmmm maybe only top 10.

Family acts always had lots of people votings. Season 1 had 2 family acts in top 4 and season 2 had 1 family acts in top 8. And we maybe had 3 family acts in top 20.

At least decent family acts and not as bad as Indigo bad.

Terry Fator the good example. He got maybe 15 seconds scenes in Vegas week episode, he never got any pimp spot before final 4 (if I am not wrong) , casue the producer probably just wanted singers to win in season 2. But he just kept performing real good and he was really talented at what he did.

So Eli can still win even if the producers were hell bent to championed Neal the so so opera singer, Queen Emily with the sob story and Joseph Hall . (He need to take more dancing and vocal lesson) All Eli need to do is pick songs real wisely and showcase his vocal and he can win.

And if Eli had enter American Idol, how on earth NIgel and Simon didnot at least put him thru to top 24??? Cause his vocal was much much better than lots and lots of male Idol finalist.

Top 20 will had 13 singers including impesonator who sing , 4 group dancers including the mascots group , one baton twirler, duet musician and I forgot one that pass in first show.

Except for a major major disaster, like the singers pick horrible songs and sing very very bad, my prediction for top 10:

8 singers including Eli of course, Jonathan the baton twirler and Nuttin But String.

Altho Sick Step still had the chance to made it to top 10 if they can gave some real sick move cause I know they can. For those of you who didnot know. Sick Step was the group whre Hok and Ryan SYTYCD came from.

I do not know why they mostly dance in here then do the sick move like they do in SYTYCD auditions cause American teenagers just love B-Boys move like they showed in MTV Best Dance CRews.

If Sick Step didnot raise their game , they will not made it into top 10.

My Top 4 prediction: Eli , Jonathan, Sarah L and Nuttin But String

again its not easy cause I think top 4 will filled with all singers though I only like 2 of 13 of them.

but my guts tell me America will choose: Eli (hopefuly), Queen Emily, Neal and the girl singer who sing in the first show.

Like: season 1: the Quick change who Piers hatedbut they werer really good although once you see their act, it will be pretty boring. They had tons of job though they didnot win.

PS: British Got Talent also got similar act but not half as good but made it to top 20.

The acrobat act (I forgot the name) where a man throw his partner up and down real high and gracefully. They joined Cirque du soleil and had even performed in So you Think australia as guest star.

The magician (the best so far in this show) who failed to make it into the top 10 also made it into Vegas.

The juggler , (the best juggler in the show) who juggler everything from bowling pin to people.

Season 2:
The 4 karate guy who was real good at what they were doing. British Got Talent also got the same act but only half as good.

The 4 guy who wore very high prop. They were quite good but failed to make into top 10.

This year the only good non music act was only Jonathan, the baton twirler. The kid really got some move. He can had a career in Vegas if he kept improving.

I have watched bits and pieces these past two nights hoping to catch this Eli but couldn’t sit thru the dross. Thanks for the clip, he’s amazing, surprised he didn’t try out for idol?? (or did he, I haven’t been following) He sounds a bit like Elton John. I really enjoyed his performance and can see what all the hype is about.

The cute 4 yo who can’t sing? Agree, how are they going to tell her she is out.

I loved the guys with the violins, wow, that was intense! They could start a whole new music genre, classical hip hop!

But other than them, this show is such a suckfest!!! MJ should have some sort of medal of honour for sitting thru it for us.

I will say that I have a soft spot for Donald B. But Sharon was right-on with her comments about how he would play, a la Robert Goulet, in this day and time.

Eli is so prostituting himself on this show! He is far and away a talent who deserves better. Reminds me of Taylor, who just didn’t fit with that style on American Idol, but brought people to who he was and is as an artist. Ditto Eli. But on such a show??? OY!

Someone please, please remove this 4-year old automaton forthwith. She totally creeps me out. (See Eli comment above. He has to be competing with this??? And a fire eater? And endless dance squads???)

I do like the two violin guys. Sharon again was on the money. They are not only talented, with very cool sounds, but the tone from the violins is really amazing.

I so agree. That guy is going to be big. He’s a Billy Joel for sure. He really is mesmerizing. I mean talk about soul! WOW. I am so hoping he’ll catch on even if he doesn’t come in first. the song he sang was a big hit many moons ago by R&B dude Tony Rich, then a country artist named Kevin Sharp did quite well with his version. You should check them both out. Eli definitely put his own spin on it.

Another lovely performance, and the judges were spot-on in their “thank god you’re here after all that dreck” comments. I adored the little look over his shoulder as he sang the last few words. That kid truly loves what he does.

and i got 8×10 votes for Eli…2 land lines, 3 cell phones; then a car ride to the grand parents house for 1 land line, and 2 cell phones.
I wish idol voting was like this. I think it would encourage more people to vote, and give a better idea of favorites.
