Anoop Desai – San Francisco Tree Lighting – VIDEO

Check out Anoop Desai singing “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)” and “All I Want for Christmas is You” at last night’s San Francisco Tree Lighting ceremony in Union Square.

An alternate version of “All I Want for Christmas” has better audio:   HERE.

Camera work is a little shakey, but you get the idea! Nice work, Anoop.

What a sexy manly voice. I always appreciate the sound of a man singing smoothly.

    Great job Anoop. Very classic.

Wah, I was supposed to be in San Francisco and would have been within walking distance, but fate intervened. Anyway, enough about me, Anoop sounds great. Way back in the day I had a record with Andy Williams (before some of you were born no doubt!) singing the same song and Anoop sounds just as good.

  • jga94:

Yes,Anoop’s voice sounds great as usual…hope he gets a good record deal soon.

His voice especially stands out with Chestnuts….

  • bean99:

Love hearing Anoop sing Christmas songs. His voice is so smooth. :)

    What a beautiful soothing voice.

Love hearing all the girls screaming. Awwww!!!

  • Letitride:

Nice – he sounds great. Hopefully some better video will turn up.

Now, I think Anoop should def put out his own album… but he has a really nice Christmastime voice! especially if people wanted like, their favorites done a bit jazzy and smooth.

Awww, I live in San Francisco and was at Union Square yesterday evening but there were so many people all crowded on the sidewalks and traffic was still moving so it was so crowded that you couldn’t move (or see anything). I wish I had known Anoop was going to sing. I would have been more patient. I left before anything really started happening. Boooo, me!! :(

  • lakers24:

He has a beautiful Christmastime voice! He should really consider a Christmas album. And may I just add that he looks VERY handsome!

  • Letitride:

The soundcheck before the show is even better.
    Really soft and smooth

Ooh, I like – I would so buy a Christmas album with that voice on it. Anoop is awesome :)

  • Lol. The video which has a good Audio quality but shaky camera taking is Mine. Sorry. I arrived just in time for the event to start and it was REALLY crowded. Like NO JOKE! and what made it worse was the ICE SKATING RINK which was right in front of the stage which explains all the people you see passing through the video. I’m glad the audio turned out well though! =D

  • Also, apart from taking a video, i recorded All I Want for Christmas in Audio Only format – (apart from the mishap at the end of the mp3, the audio sounds really amazing – almost like a studio quality – hope u guys enjoy it!) Here is the download link:

the last one of “All I Want For Christmas” is very good – hitting those high notes with ease.
And it is nice to see Anoop do a fun upbeat song and do it well.
    – but I like his soft slow version of The Christmas Song ( Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire ) http://tinyurl.com/ycw877p even more.

Jason Castro put up a free download of White Christmas on Amazon last year for his fans…….too bad that it’s probably too late for something like that from Anoop.

  • Grammie Kari:

The decision to put Anoop on a Christmas album should have been made in July or August. It saddens me that no one contacted him. I feel Anoop is not getting a fair shake where less talented people have,.
