Check out this week’s Idol Billboard Chart. Just for you. I couldn’t find any Soundscan numbers this week. But, Ken Barnes from USA Today’s Idol Chatter blog posted some rounded-off sales numbers:
- DAUGHTRY still holding steady, at #3 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Daughtry sold 76,000 more units this week.
- Katharine McPhee’s debut CD dropped from #2 to #11 this week, selling 48,000–a 58% drop-off from last week. You can check out her AOL live sessions here. She performs a few of her tunes from her CD.
- Taylor Hicks single “Just To Feel That Way” debuts on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart at #30.
- Bucky Covington’s single “A Different World” climbs from #41 to #37 on the Hot Country Singles and Tracks chart. You can watch his newly released video at Yahoo Music.

Good for Daughtry. I am really pleased to see him hanging in there at #3 AGAIN! Also, INO is doing well and is charting well in several categories. As MJ stated you can get the full detsils on Donna Reynolds’ summary of where the Idols are charting. Does anyone know how many CDs each of the Seasoh 5 Idols has sold so far? Ken on the USA Today blog used to keep up with the Idol totals but is now involved in Season 6.
I’m not a country fan, but I like Bucky. I liked the video - a little too twangy for me, but I like the subject matter of the song. Hope he does well.

Calimari, I agree way too twangy but I think it will be a big hit for country fans and my God, that man has the most beautiful hair,except for Bo’s, that I have ever seen on a man..I should be so lucky to thave a head of hair like that!
