- No Idol albums are in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 this week. Daughtry slips out of the Top 10 for only the second time since his album was released late November. All the Idol albums took hits this week.
- Mandisa’s single, “Only the World” is the #1 song on this week’s Hot Singles Sales chart.
- Jordin Sparks’ and Blake Lewis’ EPs both fall off the Billboard Comprehensive Albums chart this week. Their singles dropped down the charts this week too. “This is My Now” dropped from #25 to #72, and “You Give Love a Bad Name” dropped from #21 to #59.
- Kellie Pickler’s single, “I Wonder” debuts on the Billboard Hot 100 at #100.
- Bucky Convington’s single, “A Different World” debuts on the Hot 100 Airplay chart at #85.
- Kimberly Locke’s single “Change” climbs to #7 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart.
- Daughtry’s single “Home” is #1 on the Hot Adult Top 40 chart for the second straight week.

I have to disagree with what you are saying at what point the arist goes gold for digital downloads. Acoording to ,
“The RIAA certifies tracks gold recognizing 100,000 legal downloads, platinum for 200,000 downloads and multi-Platinum for 400,000 and following in increments of 200,000 thereafter.
This means that both Blake and Jordin qualify for Gold certificaton on the digital downloads side.
Once you hit 400k, you are considered platinum not gold, which was indicated in Kelly Clarkson’s #’s of over 500K
The RIAA changed their certification rules for downloads last June. Here is what Nevada posted in last week’s number’s thread:
But you still see the old certification numbers posted in a lot of places.
