Bits and Pieces

Take a sneak peek at DAUGHTRY’S new Video for the band’s single “It’s Not Over” here.  The video goes into rotation at VH1 January 15.

Katharine McPhee guest stars on the ABC Comedy, Ugly Betty, Thursday February 1st.  Her debut CD drops January 30th.  Her single, “Over It” will be officially released to radio January 16, although it’s already getting some spins–it’s cracked the mediabase Top 100.

Kellie Pickler makes a return visit to guest host The View. She’ll be appearing on the show Thursday January 18 and Friday January 19.  It’s not surprising that she’s been asked back to guest host–Rosie O’Donnell raved about Kellie’s last appearance in her blog.

thanks Lisab and Squishy

All sounds good, Chris is Awsome, however I will not be DVRing the view on those days, Kellie grits on my very last nerve.

I love Ugly Betty! I haven’t missed an episode yet. (DVR is a great thing.) Hm, I wonder what Kat will do on it. I kind of picture Kat as the anti-Betty though. It’ll be interesting to see her acting skills. I know she did plays and such, but I think that tv is a little different. Looking forward to it.

i’ve been away a while doing holiday-type things and it was nice to come back to some happy news. i really liked the daughtry video; the song’s already a big hit and this can only help. ugly betty’s a wonderful show so that’s good news for kat; and the view sure needs some sweetness and light these days and kellie’s the one to deliver! so everything is great!

I’ve yet to see the Daughtry video. For now, congrats to Kat for the Ugly Betty gig.

Just wondering, does anybody know the status of Kellie’s supposed sitcom?

I can hear the video but there’s no image. Just a green screen. Is my computer the problem?

Kellie will also be appearing on GAC NIghts on Tuesday at 8 pm (obviously, this will air on GAC). The other guest will be the Randy Rogers Band.

This show will re-air Wednesday at 12.

So, Pickler will be on the TV for 4 straight days next week. Go Kellie!

I watch Ugly Betty, so it’ll be nice to see Kat.
I haven’t heard much about Kellie, but hopefully she is doing well along with her album.

I like the video! Not groundbreaking, maybe, but very effective and very professionally done. It is so awesome to see this happening for Chris! I liked watching the “behind the scenes” companion video, which turned out not to be behind the scenes of making the video, but was actually about Chris’ experience making the album, and talking about writing the song, “Home.” That clip also features him singing “Home” while accompanying himself on accoustic guitar. Pretty nice. It’s interesting to see how much some professional help (coaching, editing) makes him come across as much more polished (but still himself) than he did back in those post-boot interviews.

Does anybody know where the band is performing, in the INO video? I want to say it’s NY’s Grand Central Station, but I’m not sure.

I’m pretty sure the video wasn’t shot at Grand Central. It looks similiar, but the video location looks older and more cavernous, if that makes sense. Also, the ceiling shown in the video is definitely not Grand Central’s ceiling–at GCT it’s a bright bluish-green color.

My guess is that it’s an old church.

It appears that Chris will be able to handle the mortgage on his house.

  17. 17 jokiebird Jan 12th, 2007 at 3:47 pm

After the success he’s having, I doubt he even has a mortgage any more.
