Brooke White, new spokesperson for Malaria No More, will spearhead a drive to get kids involved in raising funds for the organization’s campaign to fight Malaria in third world countries:

Summer is a time for beach trips and block parties, but this summer you have a chance to do more…this summer kids between the ages of five and fourteen have a chance to save the world from malaria! join American Idol’s Brooke White, Idol Gives Back and Malaria No More and use your summer vacation to make a difference on a global scale. For the full Press Release, click here.

Caused by the simple bite of a mosquito, malaria claims the lives of 3,000 children every single day. Yet, a simple $10 bed net can protect two kids from malaria.

The site offers 6 ideas for kids to raise money and awareness over the summer, including running lemonade stands, dance parties and and using social networking to spread the word. The participant who raises the most money has a chance to win a pair of tickets to next year’s American Idol finale.

You know, looking at this photo of Brooke - she’s so fresh-faced and sunny - she looks like she could be an “Ivory Girl” from those old Ivory soap ads…

    Good for her.
Calimari, I was thinking ‘Noxema Girl’.

Brooke is so gorgeous. Good for her for working for this cause. Isn’t this the same thing Melinda’s promoting?

I love Brooke “the human night light” White. That’s her; a passionate, caring, hard working person.

Check out Brooke’s appearance on the Today Show. The hosts are talking about the most depressing subject possible, a nuclear missile silo. Then Brooke appears and talks to the hosts. Instantly everyone is smiling and cheery! Everyone couldn’t help it. I was smiling like crazy too and I noticed the extreme effect Brooke had on the people she talked to.

Here’s the clip. Be warned. She will cheer you up, unlike Simon her polar opposite.

Classic “BRECK” girl to me. (If’n ya’ll remember those Breck shampoo ads).

Brooke is just plain gorgeous and could be a spokesmodel just about anywhere.
