    Ooh, I don’t like Carrie’s hairdo.

I am sorry to any Carrie fans but that performance was not great imo. SHe was off key and all over the place and the song was forced sounding..just not good. It is a sad day for country music when this is the female vocalist of the year. jmo

    Taylor Swift just did what?
Did you see the jaw dropping performance from Taylor Swift on the CMA’s?
She sang, “Should’ve Said No”. She started playing a guitar, hidden under a dark hooded sweatshirt and jeans. Boy dancers joined her onstage where she stood up and continued to belt out the song. Magically, they peeled the jeans and hoody away to reveal a beautiful dress and her long, flowing curls.
It was a great performance! She ended the song by walking up the staircase to a live waterfall that fell from the ceiling to the floor. Then, she did the unthinkable. She stepped under the waterfall, got soaking wet and finished her song.
WOW!!! It was a show-stopper and truly awesome to watch.
Hope you got to see it also.
    Congratulation on winning tonight.
    Way-to-Go Taylor.

    Too bad taylor lip synced….lol

That performance by Carrie and Brad was the best thing on the show tonight! Carrie just blows everybody away when she sings like that…simply amazing.

Carrie’s second vocal was absolutely wonderful and touching.

Carrie can eat Taylor Swifts lunch. Didn’t Taylor win last year and, imvho, she didn’t deserve to win anything. Horrors - song and performance stunk.

Carrie’s come along way and good for her. Her confidence is finally making a debut.

I agree about Taylor Swift. That girl can’t sing. I’ve never liked her, and, probably never will. Carrie, sweetie, you are a bag of bones. Put on some weight.

do you think carrie borrowed mariah’s glittery microphone? LOL>

Ugh. That first performance sucked big time. Loved the duet with Brad though, that was very nice.

Wow! She has really come out of her shell…and she is definitely getting the star treatment what with the big “C” and all. She completely ruled that performance. I was kinda surprised by how full force and on target it was.

I guess we’ll have to take the “bot” off her name.

Kellie had a similar one during her song too.

Carrie’s tribute to Eddy Arnold with “Make the World Go Away” was the highlight of the ACM Awards show. Wow!!

“last name” isn’t exactly a vocal showcase song….but it looked like she had fun

“make the world go away” was phenominal though!

way to go 2 time top female vocalist carrie underwood!

    Oh no!
    They had a mosh pit!!

I don’t like the song - Last name. It is so monotonous.
I thought Make the World Go Away seemed karaoke.
    I usually like Carrie.

I LOVE Taylor Swift’s style, and what a songwriter!
I think she’s delightful. She’s not a yeller, but I don’t need her to be. I’m off to find a youtube vid of that performance with the waterfall! :thumbup_tb:

Well, it’s a well-written song, but she can’t do this style very well.
She sounds so much better when she does the quiet stuff.

2 years in a row! that’s great. go carrie.

i bet faith hill is really pissed now. :wink_wp:

I love Carrie, but I didn’t think Last Name sounded that great. In fact when I saw her in concert earlier this year, she sounded far better than this performance. Oh well. I thought almost everyone sounded off during the show, and numerous people were messing with their ear monitors during their performances - Kellie Pickler just pulled it out about two notes into the song - so I think they were having some sound problems.

And no, Taylor Swift is not the greatest singer. But she is a great, great songwriter, and I thought her performance the other night was awesome. She really leaves it all on stage.

Usually the only two country artists that can sing well “live” are Martina McBride and Carrie, but I was disappointed with this performance. She sounded flat.

I do like her hair and new appearance. She’s beautiful inside and out. One of the best singers, ever.

Oh, and I forgot say, thank you for posting these videos. They have been removed from You Tube because they are copywrited by the Dick Clark Productions.
