    What a heartfelt performance

Temporary Home is such a beautiful song.

I don’t know about that outfit though. Wonder if her usual stylist is on vacation?

    Some trivia:

    - The line “I can see God’s face” was a change Carrie made to the lyrics at the last second during the recording process. It was supposed to be “with a smile upon his face” like the first verse.
    - Also, she could never get through the song without breaking down at the last verse. Producer Mark Bright had to tell her that she just needed to get through it once. Just once.
    - This song is really Carrie’s baby.

Of the two live performances of this song that I’ve seen (this and at Invitation Only), Carrie has barely been able to get through it both times and really gets emotional.

Yay for Temporary Home! As much as I love Cowboy Casanova, I wish Carrie were singing Temporary Home at the CMAs tonight and doing Cowboy Casanova at the AMAs. I feel like TH could be such a moment at a country awards show. Plus with how much TH means to Carrie, I bet it would mean so much to her to sing it at one of the awards shows that’s always meant so much to her.

I hope Carrie sings TH at the Opry this weekend too. My dream Opry setlist this weekend would be CC, TH, Songs Like This, and Look At Me with Vince. But I’m sure she’ll mix in some of her older tunes too. I’m glad Myspace will be streaming this live!

    Thanks:)

Any chance Temporary Home is going to be her next single? I hope so!

ABC is so smart. They’re basically becoming the country network. Country music is expanding into country-pop (Taylor Swift, Keith Urban), and pop is morphing into pop-hop. I used to be a big pop fan, but when The Black Eyed Peas are the typical “pop” group (see PCA nominations this am), no wonder people who like mainstream pop are turning to country. I think ABC is picking up a market.

Tears. Thanks for posting this, I’ve been wanting to hear this song.

I love Temporary Home. Carrie is such a beautiful person inside and out and has the voice of an angel. My two favorites are Carrie and Danny and now that I’ve heard Danny’s new song (also with a beautiful message), I couldn’t be happier.

For those who purchased Carrie’s Play On via iTunes I just received an email with a promo code to download a bonus track for free, Carrie singing O Holy Night. Oh my heck! This is the best version of this overdone Christmas song I’ve ever heard. I hope she puts out a full length Christmas CD.
