Sorry sorry I know but I just think Carrie Underwood is such a fake. Her personality and such. Yeah she can sing woo hoo but I just don’t like her personality.

You know I kinda think she comes of that way at first, but over time, with reading more interviews, etc. she seems like a sweet girl that maybe comes off a bit reserved/fake because she’s just not that open except to people she knows. I really enjoyed reading the Billboard cover story on her. This quote was revealing:

“Play On” features 13 tracks, seven of which were co-written by Underwood. “I’m not an easy person to get to know, and I feel like I keep a lot of myself closed off to the world,” she says. “It’s really nice to be able to scratch the surface and to be able to open myself up a little more.”

Who’s Andy Skib?

He’s currently the guitar player/keyboardist/backup vocalist in David Cook’s bad. He was also the lead singer of MWK, the band from Tulsa that DC played guitar and sang backup for before Idol. Zac Maloy, the cowriter of this song is from Tulsa, wrote for Andy’s solo project (To Have Heroes, which happened before he joined DC’s band).

Cowboy Casanova and Mama’s Song are at #2 and #9, respectively.

And its cool too that Carrie is being more involved with writing because in her first and second albums she didn’t do much writing at all!

True for the first album where she only wrote one: “I Ain’t in Checotah Anymore.”

For the second album, however, she co-wrote four. Three of those became singles: So Small, All-American Girl, and Last Name. So yay for Matt Giraud singing “So Small” and Glee featuring “Last Name.” More royalties for Carrie and her Carrie Okie Music publishing.

And this song is really good. It states the facts. Lots of people can relate. We’re all gonna die and whatever happens from there. But this song kind of is talking about religion and the line where it says ‘I can see God’s face’ might anger or displease some people say, agnostics like myself. It makes me feel outcasted a bit but I love the song though. Great message and Carrie had some good song writers helping to write this song.

But I love this song. The lyrics especially because I haven’t even heard the real song yet! =D But I don’t like the singer though like I said and the part where it says God which is sort of stating that he is real but besides that, its a great motherf*cking song people! =D

I went to a whole different place starting with ‘I can see God’s face’  continuing to the chorus with just her voice and the piano. Really. Just. WOW.

The line “I can see God’s face” got me all teary-eyed.

There was a lot of hype from Carrie fans who’d seen Carrie sing this at CMT Invitation Only so I was afraid to get excited.

But this is one of those times where you’re so happy to be a fan of somebody’s because they come through with the kind of song you’ve believed and hoped they’re capable of.

I wouldn’t have cared if Carrie hadn’t written this song because her voice alone and the way she tells the 3 stories is amazing. The fact that she did write and in fact had the song all mapped out before she met with her cowriters makes me think she should really keep exploring this writing thing because this song is really special.

Andy Skib retweeted it adding “Nice!.” So they’re sharing the love for Carrie. Zac Maloy wrote on 3 or 4 of Cooks songs, including the gorgeous Lie. Sounds like he did it again on Temporary Home.
