What About Now Video:

I admire Chris so much. He is a hard worker and he deserves everything he ahs achieved. I predict he will keep being a platinum artist for many many years to come
I love the part where he said a lady told him: “I watched you turn into somebody”
Yes indeed. He is a great guy, dedicated to his family in spite having huge success.
Chris keep doing what you are doing.
Nice feature. I have always liked the relationship between Chris and his wife. The old saying “Behind every successful man” certainly fits here.
Before AI7 I only caught AI2 so I never watched season 5 (at least I think that was Daughtry’s season) and had never seen Chris in an interview. Matter of fact, I was a big fan of his music and didn’t even know he was associated with the show until I commented to my brother how much I liked the song playing in the car and my brother said that he was the guy he and his wife liked from American Idol (of course that was followed with a “don’t you ever listen to me?” snarl).
Chris seems like a nice guy and its great to hear that he and his bandmates have such solid family lives. And I love how he said he’s had the same groupie for 8 years. Since following AI this season I’ve heard some negative comments about him, I’m not sure how he was on the show, he seems like a cool guy in this clip.
I know this is completely corny, but that video made me cry.
omg, he’s growing a point on his bald head! gah, he might be able to open a bottle of wine with his head if it keeps growing.
Errrr, I think it’s a stalker and her name is …. Doctor :blink_tb:
or stalker :wallbash_tb: :wallbash_tb:
THANKS mj for posting this!! I’m very happy with this video….it’s a great message about making a difference in the world, who can argue with that? The song is really beautiful and I love Chris’ voice on it!!
he is so Dylanesque
The video added to the meaning of the song. It’s a little preachy, but I like it.
I really like Chris and was a residual viewer of season 5 just to watch him. So pleased he’s successful.
I haven’t watched the videos yet, but will. Could someone explain to me how singles work these days? If Daughtry is just releasing what about now as a single now, what does that mean? I downloaded that song with a few others from the cd, so the song has been available as a single download ever since release of the cd. and it’s not possible to by singles on cd anymore, so no new physical single is going to be issued. Weren’t radio stations able to play What About Now off the CD at anytime? So what’s happening that’s different?
Honestly, I’m baffled. I’d be grateful for thoughts.
This video gave me chills! I love it!
I really like this song, although not a Daughtry fan prior.
I lurve Fall Out Boy, but have a hard time forgiving young Peter for the number of otherwise attractive men Wentzing their hair.
That’s a very powerful video. I have to give props to Chris for keeping his family together the way he has, even in the wake of such huge success. That’s really hard, and yet somehow he’s managed to not lose his head (or his dick). Or his wife.
He seems to have found the best possible result from his time on AI, so KUDOS, Daughtry.
Chris always seemed like the nicest guy. I had to buy two of his cds after my son lost his first one, he is a good role model whether he wants to be or not. This video is just another extention of him and who he is as a caring human being, I think. Dallas will be so happy to see this. He was only 9 when he discovered Chris on AI and actually cried when he was voted off, he thought he would never hear from him again, boy was he wrong about that!
I loved seeing both videos but especially enjoyed the interview part. I like that Chris is still the family man after being on the road so long. It sounds like Deanna and the kids are his rock that keeps him on track. Thanks for posting this, Mj!
I like Chris enough but I admire his obvious dedication to family even more.
I like What About Now from the album but I like the acoustic version he did for Idol Gives Back even more.
Speaking of giving back, you may want to check out this old but pretty funny video featuring Chris D. and friends…

He seems like a really well-adjusted guy and that is somehow nice to know. I admire him for still having his head on straight after all this extreme and sudden fame and fortune. Just a smidgeon of fame can overwhelm and turn normal people into monsters. His story shows it doesn’t have to be that way. Glad for him, his family, his band and his fans. Whoo-hoo to you, Daughtry.
Pete Wentz is probably the nastiest guy in the history of the universe. If Pete Wentz and Amy Winehouse had a baby, I’m fairly certain that child would be the antichrist and we’d start crossing off the days on our calendar until the end of days. Since he actually did knock up the sister of the famous chick, the baby will probably just be the downfall of western civilization, so let’s be thankful that he didn’t meet Winehouse in the bathroom at Burger King or something.
Oh, and good for Chris. I don’t like the song (I actually overheard it while I was at the hairdresser’s today), so I’m not going to watch the video, but I love it when idols do well! I think it gives the rest of them a better chance for some reason.
