Chris Richardson - New Remix - T-Pain’s “I Can’t Believe It”

Remember Chris Richardson, the Justin Timberlake-like contestant who finished 6th Season 6? The last I heard, he was recording some tracks in Miami. He’s living in Virginia, and performing gigs here and there, most recently at the Canal Club in Richmond VA.

Chris just posted his own remix of T-Pain’s “I Can’t Believe It” on his My Space. You can check it out here.

The remix isn’t bad–it’s just that his vocals don’t reach out and grab you. If I heard this on the radio, I wouldn’t say to myself, “Oh wow! Chris Richardson!” It would be more like, “Sounds like someone…who is it?”

I saw him on the Idols tour last summer, and he’s a good performer. A good producer working with him could make all the difference.

He’s got a couple more tracks uploaded. Check them out:

So, he made the jump from nasal singing to using auto-tune?

I just like to look at him…

Sounds OK. Seems like the trend these days is to use the pitch-altering thingy.

I seriously had forgotten all about him until I saw this.

I alway liked him. I never thought he was a great singer, but there’s something very likeable about him. I hope things work out for him.

OH but you know I would baby! LOL

So, where were you when I needed you that season YankeeFan08? Tee Hee. I openly admitted I didn’t think he had that great of a voice, but I just freaking adored him (and wanted to bake him cookies). I was a solider in a ravine taking heavy artillary all by myself. Don’t leave me like that again Yankee :)
