Chris Richardson Walmart Soundcheck Plus Free Song Download!
Those of you following Season 6 Idol, Chris Richardson on twitter know he’s been working on an album, and in an interview with Walmart Soundcheck, Chris reveals a few details about the project. Plus, you can download a free song from Chris!

The debut album will be called, aptly Chris Richardson. It’s been a two-year process that’s finally coming to fruition. He describes the sound as a pop/soul/r&b mashup.
The Walmart download process was cumbersome, so I’m going to post the song “Floating Off the Ground”, a pleasant pop/R&B concoction, after the jump.
Good luck to Chris, who was one of the nicest of the Season 6 Idols when I met them all backstage during the tour. It’s tough to get traction on an Indie album two years after appearing on Idol.

He does look like he’s gained a few pounds. Although it’s kind of hard to tell from this shot. He’s always had a big round head!
He looks rather round-ish, but it’s a good track and interview. I hope he can put out a good album, b/c he is not the most distinguishable artist, IMO. There are lots of singers like him.
Looks like Anoop faces some stiff competition in the “hasn’t anyone told him he’s not black?” genre.

I couldn’t stand listening to him sing on Idol. Very nasal sounding and to me a Justin Timberlake wannabe. Ah well, good luck to him either way.
LOL he did always kind of have a round head so you can’t really tell if he gained a lot of pounds but good luck on the album Chris!
Kinda impressed with this, it sounds really good to me. Not my preferred genre, but I actually like it, and I never thought much of this guy on Idol.

Really excited for him!!! Yes [shaking], I love the song, really really enjoyed those lyrics. Just beautiful. You guys have no idea how much I was a fan of his in Season 6 & he was the only reason why I bought a ticket to the tour (okay, Melinda too but still). Chris Rich was the only one I voted for that season. Always held out hope for him because he seemed the most genuine.
