I'm glad Clay had the courage to come out publicly. Every gay person should wait to come out when he/she is ready, however long it takes. I think it must be a very hard thing to do. Yes, even in the 21st Century. And for some people it's more difficult than for others. We're all as different as we are alike. I've always enjoyed Clay's singing. I like many different types of music. And I agree with Duke's post that Clay's voice may be the best one produced yet by AI. (Certainly, one of the best.) With a new son and starting another stint on Broadway, I hope the best is yet to be for Clay. Have to add, as others have said, being gay really shouldn't be an issue at all. It's a personal matter, like being left- or right-handed. YAY for Canadian Idol, where it evidently wasn't an issue. Hope AI will catch up.
