Wow, only 50% in attendance at Cincinnati. That’s only a 30 minute drive from me. I don’t like large, packed crowds, as it causes some anxiety for me, but heck, I could have handled that! Shoot!
Thank for the numbers Kristen. You always keep us so well informed. :smile1_tb:
The numbers for Cincinnati are not right, 6,343 of 10,730 doesn’t make 50%. Good numbers for the rest of the others though, and another sell-out concert.
Oops. Sorry. Transcription error. I hit the 0 when I should have hit the 9. I’ve fixed it to be 59%. Thanks for catching that.
I’m actually not that surprised by Cincinnati. I moved here last month for grad school (bye bye Boston… sniff) and there have already been 3 Idol concerts in the region. Columbus (2 hours away), Cincinatti and Lexington, KY (1 1/2 hours away). AND they are going to Indiana twice in September, and I think both Indy stops are within 2 hours as well. I was wondering if the area could support that many Idol tour stops, and now I have my answer.
I was wondering why it was so low!
I was at Cinci…it really didn’t seem that empty! Dang.
So right you are Tinawina. I live in South Dayton, and Dayton is considered a 90-minute market.
1) I went to the Cincy concert and it was a great venue for meeting the idols! Not too many fans there pre-concert.
2)It was a great crowd! At one point Carly mentioned that the loudness rivaled Utah! I knew it wasn’t sold out my any means, but 59%? Wow!
3) JudyOhio sorry, I’m off topic but I live just North of Dayton in a city that begins with E. So do you live in the city that begins with O, K, C or M? LOL!
They’re doing very well considering the economy and gas prices these days. I don’t know how sold out they are for Dallas but there were only nosebleeds left when I checked a while ago.
cookcricket……..O, K, C, and M are ALL my stomping grounds, lol. I am in C for Centerville. I’m now thinking of the E cities……um, Englewood?
South Dayton? How far is that from me? I’m in Oxford, about 1/2 hour from the Cinci suburbs.
Englewood, you’ve got it JudyOhio!
tinawina, Miami University?
On topic now. It’s great that they had another sell-out! 85% overall, so far not too shabby! Great job AI’s!
Dayton is about an hour NE of you tinawina
Yep, cookcricket, I am a newly minted doctoral student at Miami University. And now I know I’m an hour from Dayton too (thanks, JudyOhio)! Bust since we are so hideously off topic, I’m going to stop talking about it now. LOL.
So… how about those tour numbers? :innocent1_tb:
bean99, I just posted my floor seat tickets for sale on ticketbastard online. There are lots of very good tickets still for sale there. I’m still going to the show, I just got a better offer this morning WOOHOO!
