It was a good Finale and I can’t help but be happy for Donny and Kym. I knew from a few years back that Kym was one of the nicest professionals on the show. Finally, she gets a win!
Yes, Mya and Dmitry were WONDERFUL dancers, but Mya’s fan club status was unknown. Her parents weren’t famous. Little things do make a difference. She was so lucky to have the gorgeous Dmitry as her partner. Some of the other guys may not have been as gentle with her. I am so happy for him to have achieved runner-up!
Kelly got her award just by being in the finals. I hope this will help her career. Louis was there to instuct, but he also became a nurturing friend – just what she needed!

I’m very happy for Donny and Kym (or is it Karen?
). He did great in his dances for the finals and worked so hard for the show while still putting on the show in Vegas. I was kind of hoping that Kelly might push down Mya to 3 with her obvious popularity but oh well. She did great anyway. You could tell how much the other dancers like her and certainly also the audience. Overall I did enjoy this season.
Some of the filler was fun and others not so much. Can’t say I’m a Whitney fan and didn’t think the 2nd song sounded good at all.
I hope in the future they’ll screen better and not let a pro like Mya into the contest. It’s one thing to be a singer who’s done a little dancing or a cheerleader but to dance professionally and choreograph is too much and makes for a very uneven playing field.
Karen? Kym? What’s the difference really?
Also ucho congrats to Danny for taking the MBT and I hope that Mayan chick just keeps on dancing.
I knew Donny would win but Mya is the best dancer in the history of the show hands down no question about it. She rates above Apollo, Brooke Burke, and Kristi Yamaguchi whom to me are the best dancers ever on Dancing With The Stars.
Mya was not a professional dancer any more then Mario Lopez was. People can go on about all music artists whom have done a bit of choreography dance to say they are ringers but it’s a whole different thing the Ballroom.
This show is a combination of popularity and dance skill which you need both to win. If your super popular like Donny but can dance decently like he has then you have a great chance.
Anyway, good season. Oh and they should of gave The Woz the win in that mambo

I very sorry Kelly finished third. Nice to hear the audience cheer for her though. Of course Donny won…..he’s Donny Osmond, the most popular member of the Osmond family hands down. Not my cuppa – but he certainly entertained. Interesting that MÃ ½a commented she wasn’t able to compete last season due to an injured foot. Frankly – she wouldn’t have done as well competing against Shawn Johnson and Gilles Marini (imo). I hope this showcase gets her more work. She’s certainly capable of handling larger, more complicated roles. Maybe they’ll consider her for the new film version of ‘J. C. Superstar’. She could certainly handle the Magdalene role. By the by ‘“ Adam Lambert has thrown his hat in the ring to play Judas. He would kill on both “Heaven on Their Minds” and the title song (‘Superstar’ )…..but I think his voice is much better suited to the Jesus role. I can just hear him singing ‘Gethsemane’ . Talk about shivers!

I’m fine with Donny winning. I’m just having a bad streak lately though: Adam, Gilles, and now Dmitry… er, Mya.

Whitney Houston looked beautiful and happy. She sounded fine. Not great but surely good enough given standards nowadays.
Donny deserved it. He has star power, the “it” factor, charisma and an amazing work ethic. Mya was the most naturally talented, but I found her stingy with her emotions, one-note and borderline boring. Oh well. Good for Kelly, though. 3rd place was a most excellent (and unexpected) outcome for this gal!
Jayd, Dmitry will be partnered with judge Mary Murphy some time in the future (on DWTS). More to look forward to!
I wanted Mya to win, or if not her, Kelly. But the finale was wierd and cheesy and fun, and I’ll forget about it until it comes on next year.
