Dancing with the Stars – Semi-Final – Results
*Watch this Space*
I’ll post the Dancing with the Stars results in this space. Look out for that.
Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough were eliminated from Dancing with The Stars tonight…
Not a surprise. Joanna was a competent dancer, but she never really connected with the viewers.
Donny and Kym, Kelly and Louis and Mya and Dmitry will compete in the Final next week.

Joanna may have had some better skills than Kelly and Donny, and certainly had sex appeal, but she lacked an entertainer’s charisma. Personally, she turned me off from day one. Goodbye Barbie and Ken.
Kelly has surprised everyone, including (I bet) the producers, who cast her in the “Steve-O Crackpot / Recovering Addict / Comic Punching Bag” role. She was clearly CLEARLY earmarked to leave this week; they gave her the freakin’ kiss of death dance: the Quickstep! No one survives the Quickstep!! Kelly actually has some natural ability and has been surprisingly endearing. Her dancing has dramatically improved each week. She’s the underdog, for sure, and America loves an underdog. Don’t count her out.
Mya is in a different league, dancing wise. She could be a pro. In fact, she did appear as a DANCER in the movie Chicago so… she is a pro. Even so, Mya is far and away the best dancer and to my knowledge never did ballroom dancing before this. She’s always fan-freaking-tastic, week after week. I’m just sayin’…. the girl has had some training.
Donny’s had years of training too, as a showman, an entertainer, and yes – as a dancer. He’s appeared in musical theater as well as on the pop stage. He’s also 51 years old. His sons are older than many of the former winners of the show!!! He’s a good dancer but not the best, and though he’s in great shape, he is losing steam now. Even so, you KNOW he has a huge voting block – his fans are likely the core demographic of the show.
I’m with MJ, that Donny has the best chance to win. Mya is the best dancer, but from a fanbase perspective, I think Kelly has the only chance of beating him.
Forgot to say – I flove Dmitry’s choreography, but IMO Louis is the best choreographer and teacher on the show.
I actually like all three pros in the finals, but I’m very happy to see Louis there.
I think I’m going to like this final. Kym, Louis, and Dmitry are three of my favorite pros, and I like their choreography, especially Louis’s and Dmitry’s. Mya’s a great dancer, whom I really enjoy watching, and I find both Donny and Kelly kind of interesting, engaging, and fun to have around, as well as people who’ve made great strides in their dancing in the course of the show. Should be quite an enjoyable final. I think they’re all very deserving of being there. Think Donny will win, though.
JosieX – She’s scheduled for next week’s results show.
Mya is the best dancer but I think this show is more about the growth we see in each dancer and the obstacles that they overcome. Donny – his age, Kelly her past, that is why I think either of them should win this thing. Mya also leaves me cold also, I am not excited to see if she pulls it off this week or wows, she always had this dancing thing down, no surprises or omg’s with her, same old same old so watching her is boring because she is almost as good as a pro but without the wow factor. So – go Donny and Kelly!
Oh and Louis is my favorite pro ever, love him
I have grown to love Mya through this season, her personality and spirit, she’s hardworking, has a great attitude, poised, gracious, and a great dancer. I also really enjoy Kelly and am glad she stayed. I thought Donny should go, but knew he wouldn’t. Joanne was okay but a bit offputting. I like Derek but I also like Louis so either way was okay with me.
If Donny wins, will he be the oldest to have won DWTS? 51, he may be slowing down but he is in excellent shape! I saw him at Chastain Park in Atlanta 5 years ago and he was not in the shape he is now – he had a pouch!
Don’t agree at all. The producers want to keep Sharon Osborne happy. (There’s so much incest in the reality TV shows AI, AGT, DWTS.) I’m sure it was no mistake that Hugh Hefner was interviewed to “support” Joanna. Mostly women watch the show (and, more than men who do, vote) and, liberal or conservative, young or old, are very likely to be disgusted by Hefner. The producers knew that. Joanna probably knew that –and that they were essentially kicking her off the show and that’s why she was crying on Monday. She and Derek both seemed to know they were going. Thank God the producers didn’t do that to Brooke Burke, who was so talented and charming.
