I was sitting there listening to Jessica singing and I realized where I had heard the song before (form Archie) and my mouth dropped open at how bad she was-EEEKKK!!! Finally, I just turned the volume down and watched Max and Cheryl dance.

Dancing with the Stars was infiltrated Monday night by some of its stiffest dance competition: three heavyweights from Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance.

Sitting ringside was So You Think You Can Dance creator, executive producer and head judge Nigel Lythgoe, who has always made a point of praising Dancing with the Stars on the air. In another section of the ballroom sat So You Think judge Adam Shankman, who also directed the feature film Hairspray. And three seats down from Shankman sat the show’s Season 2 winner, swing dancer Benji Schwimmer.

“They all came to support me,” says new pro Lacey Schwimmer, who was a fan favorite during So You Think’s Season 3. Lacey really needed their support. Because even though she and her star, ‘NSync’s Lance Bass, have racked up three solid scores for their cha cha cha, quick-step and paso doble, they’re had their wrists slapped repeatedly by head judge Len Goodman for not doing traditional steps. “He’s really got it in for them,” says Shankman. “And it’s ridiculous, because the audience loves them. And they’re the only ones out there who look like they’re really having fun. Everyone else has these smiles plastered on their faces, but Lance and Lacey are the real thing.”

Surprised in a good way. She sounded good, looked great and I liked the song. True, she didn’t sing it as well live, but I have seen so many *singer* die live, that I wasn’t surprised.

I love Julianne and she is making a huge hit in the country scene, but IMO, in her first video, “This Song In My Head,” her voice sounds squeaky and a little bit like a munchkin, and that isn’t live. But, Julianne is beautiful *and* likeable.

Jessica is just beautiful and has that built in reputation and no one likes her, really. Just as no one likes Kim, who IMO is also beautiful. I don’t know much about her, but I really enjoyed looking at her. (I’m a straight girl, BTW)

So, it just seems strange in a way, that the prettiest blonde and the prettiest brunette on DWTS are/were so disliked. In a way, I guess it’s good that people take into account the whole package and Kim was not the best dancer or Jessica the best singer, but as great beauties, they will survive.

Even though not voting for Kim make my poll numbers suck, (not as much as Jessica) I too and glad she is gone. I think she thought she had to feel real passion for her partner to dance well. Oh well, she and her caboose are going home. Yipee.

i’m so glad that Pasha & Anya danced!!!! Pasha is awesome. Anya is pretty good. Maybe next season they will ask Pasha to be a pro, he would be better than Derek. (there is something about derek that i’m not connecting with)

On Kim getting the broom. Que sera, her dancing was slow and tentative, not even up to the par this early and I didn’t see much promise of improvement. As Joel McHale says on The Soup “a big ass and a sex tape” and clearly dancing ability won’t be joining that list any time soon.

And, am I really the only one who noticed that in Lance’s rehearsal video, Lance was wearing Cookies “Bad” red-orange shirt from the AI7 tour? I think someone has some splaining to do…j/k :wink_wp:

I think the right couple was voted off…Kim just seemed so stiff; I don’t think she would have loosened up fast enough to make a difference in the competition. She has a wall that I don’t think her partner could have gotten past.

And I agree with a lot of you who said that these dances were just too demanding at this stage in the competition; they should have waited at least another two to three weeks before bringing them out.

This is my first time posting on any board during any type of competition, and I must say it’s pretty interesting. And most of you are kicking my ass on the DWTS poll. :annoyed_tb:

I’m glad that Kim was voted off. I don’t think she really had the confidence to do the show. The judges were really tough on her especially only two weeks into the show. It was hard for me to watch them tell her that she left them cold.

Also, I’ve been watching this show for some time now, but I have a question. Why is it DWTS doesn’t always reveal the bottom 2? I don’t get it. I like knowing who is the bottom – like on AI. Am I the only one?

I think that she thought the microphone was something other than a micà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦

All I can say is OMG. Jessica’s “country” song wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be, but that’s not saying much. And then “it” came. I thought with all the above warnings my expectations would be low enough, but “Angels” was not just pitchy and rough. That was just all kinds of stinky wrong! I’m about to listen to Archie’s version just to erase that horrific tone ringing in my ears. At least I liked her dress – heh.

I’m super happy to see Anya and Pasha on the show. Hopefully we’ll see more of them.

Even though I didn’t put the majority of points on Kim, I’m glad she’s gone. I’ll miss Mark and his open mouth dancing.

And Jessica…..oh man. Thank you David Archuleta for doing justice to the song since Jessica obviously can’t!
