ETA:Â All references to Danny’s grandfather’s passing have been excised from the blog post. Hm.
I wonder whose doing that was? At any rate, if you ask me, this Terry Morehouse dude probably overstepped his bounds, posting Danny’s business on the internet without permission, allowing unscrupulous bloggers like me to spread it far and wide. Ha Ha.
As far as the possibility of Danny or TPTBÂ exploiting this death for Danny’s benefit? I’m going to reserve judgment until the situation plays out.
Danny Gokey is on his way back to Los Angeles to perform on American Idol tomorrow after spending a few days back home in Milwaukee to attend his grandfather’s funeral.
That, according to this blogger from Danny’s church, Faithbuilder’s International.
I just received a phone call from Danny this morning.
He was on his way back to California from a few days back in Wisconsin. Somewhat expected, Dannyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s grandfather went to be with the Lord this past week. The funeral was yesterday in Milwaukee. Our prayers go out to Danny and the whole family.
Condolences go out to Danny and his family…
I imagine there will be a little talk with Ryan before his performance because he missed a lot, maybe even the Ford commercial. I don’t think it will be Danny’s choice but the producers.
Anyone notice that the original blog entry has expunged all references to the death of the grandfather? Looks like the strategy is going to be pretend that nothing has happened.

And WHY wasn’t Brooke allowed to attend her sister’s wedding last year?
A wedding is nothing compared to a death IMO. Also, Nigel was in charge last year.
^^ I think Brooke said the wedding was on the Saturday when they were all scheduled to meet with Mariah, and she couldn’t reschedule or miss the mentor session.
Or maybe that person over stepped Danny’s personal boundries and made that blog without his permission. And now either Danny or his family told that person to take it down as it is a private matter. Or at least I hope so. I would hate to think the Gokey family would exploit another death.
