Danny Gokey is Making New Friends
I’m not gonna make assumptions about Danny Gokey’s intentions. Actually, I sorta don’t care what he’s up to in his off hours, but some of you might find this interesting.
Christian singer, Rachael Lampa, posted the following on her blog:
Anyhoozer, so I get a call that a fan of mine wants to meet me and would love to spend some time togetherà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦ later in the call I find out that its my fav American Idol contestant, Danny Gokey! I am an unashamed Idol watcher so it was cool to spend some time with him. He is a stand up guy, loves God, has a genuine heart, and has a freaking crazy voice! (Thatà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s my way of saying he can SANG). SO, if you find yourself just aching to vote for something on a Tuesday night, let it be Danny Gokey on AI, k?! K. More to come!
If Danny the Ghoulish Widower is on the prowl, maybe it would have been wise to wait until after the competition was over. But then again, maybe he’s just looking for new friends.

He might be a little jellus that Allison Iraheta has Miley tweeting on her behalf. Heh.

I think it only speaks that they all want to come across as likeable for the voting public. We truly don’t even know what each of them thinks about each of the others. To me, actions speak louder than words. I’ll just leave it at that.

I’ll bet she is going to keep clarifying and revising this entire blog splat until the downward spiral is complete- it seems neither one of them can keep their mouths shut.
How hard is it not. to. say. anything?

Eh I really don’t care what this guy does. Even though I don’t care for his *on camera* persona since it is a singing comp, that is what I am judging him on & he comes up very short with his extremely average vocals.
This has to be a planted comment on her blog site, really. NO ONE can be that stupid to respond to the “hate” comments. And if this is her own blog can’t she just delete the crap that is negative to her and Danny. She must have the same “talk to much” personality trait that Danny possesses if this is an accurate comment. The whole blog should never have occurred and I can’t believe that they keep adding fuel to the fire. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb!

Perhaps she should take some advice from Adam and his family and friends as to how to handle negative internet comments.
I finally went to Rachael’s page and read the whole post and the comments. The Jonas Brothers arranged to meet her earlier the same week, so she’s a popular gal. Must be the only hot young Christian chick in LA. I doubt Danny stands a chance with her up against one of the Jonas’, but likely he’ll keep playing that sympathy card with her for all it’s worth. Using a sob story to hit on a girl isn’t exactly a new technique.
The widower goes a-courtin’.
Actually, I think I’d have more sympathy if he was just trying to get a little christian booty…but it just seems more like trying to drum up votes in a very cheesy and smarmy way.
Everything about Danny just screams douche to me…just…everything…all the looks and mugging. ick.
They speak before thinking.
They love to hear themselves talk.
They bring up inappropriate personal tidbits at the most obscure times.
They have to be the center of attention.
If someone tells an anecdote they always can one-up it.
They do weird stuff with their bodies and have absolutely no rhythm.
They are overly loudà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦you always hear them above any crowd.
No matter what they are involved in, they know it would fail if they werenà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t involved.
They are often bored because they donà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t like their own company.
They always think they are hip and withit (I canà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t ever tell them the truth).
They Love to embarass everyone around themà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦they think its funny.
They always tell you how much stuff they have, and ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s always better than anyone elses.
For a moment I thought this was talking about Adam!

This little bit of airtime we see of the idols is just a snapshot of a moment. Just like a photo.
You can tell nothing from that. Just perceived motives or character.
I hope all the idols do well after idol. They are ALL great singers.

what i would like to know is this…since when did christianity embrace make up wearing for all women, fashion shows, escalades, materialism and flat out, down right greed?
somehow….just somehow…gokeys version of “christianity” seems remarkably well suited to getting exactly what one wants…not sacrificing…and getting richer and richer and richer…
now, i have to say, i must have been paying too lose attention back in sunday school when they talked about greed being bad….but maybe the concept has gone out the window….
