Danny Gokey is currently on a promotional tour to promote his new country single, “It’s Only”, for RCA Nashville. At KTLA TV in Los Angeles this morning, he performed the single PLUS a NEW song called, “Best Days”

Hey Jx223! It was nice to see how happy Danny looked performing “Best Days”. He seemed completely at ease and his voice sounded very strong. I think he will continue to win a lot of new fans on this tour. And bonus points, his hair looks good…no electroshock look! Yay! (Oh, and the short sleeved shirt doesn’t hurt either).
It just looks so forced. Why couldnt they just let him do the type of music he wanted to do?
Maybe I will actually be able to listen to a country song now…not likely though.

Best Days is very good, I think there’s a big chance for that to be a country smash hit.

Those who are big fans of Danny will likely enjoy these songs.
He was loved on tour when he did the Rascal Flats and inspirational type stuff.
But I didn’t like it then and I don’t like these…at all.
Danny may be putting his heart and soul into these songs but it comes off stale and cheesy and insincere to me.
Plus I do not find anything new and fresh about what I am hearing.
I am not bashing Danny personally, just the music and how I am feeling the music.
I think that Danny looks cute in these videos. I like the way his hair looks in these videos.
I am glad to see that Danny’s radio tour is underway. Hopefully this tour will help him get more radio airplay.
Way To Go Danny! I really like Best Days and think it will be a good hit. As with all of Adam’s songs, this is also something I will be buying. The rest of the Season 8 original works by the other artists just makes me yawn.
Just had a chance to listen to Best Days and the new live version of It’s Only. I still love It’s Only but am glad to see Danny already with an upbeat country song as well. Danny has at least one performance coming up at a country music club, I could definitely see him including Best Days as part of his set and the audience enjoying it a lot.
One of the things I enjoyed about Danny from the show and seeing him live on the AI tour was how well he could handle a variety of songs with very different emotional levels, tempos, etc. Just these two songs show that again, even more so when you take into account the much more emotionally intense, extended version of It’s Only that Danny sang on Sunday. I like a lot of different country artists and have a pile of country CDs, ranging all over the spectrum from traditional to more ‘modern.’ I don’t see any problem considering either of these songs to fit into the country music environment, in terms of either the songs themselves or the way Danny performs them. I’ll be interested to see who the songwriter(s) turn out to be for Best Days.
‘It’s Only’ and ‘Best Days’ makes me look forward to the album. Can’t wait to see what else Mark Bright has in store. “It’s Only” must have gotten a lot of good responses in order for RCA Nashville to push up the release to radio stations. I also love how he is being promoted by his record label. If Danny is getting all this promo and buzz for the single, I can only imagine what the album is going to be like.

The song “My Best Days” is a great song, would be popular no matter who sang it- very smart choice by a very shrewd guy. The “If Only ‘ song is good too, but Best Days is better.

Ok, enough slobbering; I think Danny has come out of the gate with two really strong songs; especially for the genre he is in. Anxious to hear studio version of “Best Days” whether it will be more folksy or honky tonk country- instrumentals will tell I think.
