It appears that David Archuleta plans to stick close to his home base in Utah as much as he can. According to the fan site, Archuleta Fan Scene, David auditioned musicians from the Salt Lake City area over the weekend:
Fan Scene has learned that David Archuleta auditioned musicians last Saturday, October 11th in his hometown of Salt Lake City. Twenty hopefuls from area colleges, music schools, and the local music scene showed up with their instruments, and dreams in tow. David been considering putting together a group of quality musicians from the area so he can stay closer to home for practices and rehearsals. Rumor has it there were several skilled musicians in the lot who are up for consideration. I wonder which of those lucky musicians will be getting a phone call from David Archuleta.
Also, according to AFS, a couple of songs that David Archuleta co-wrote will make it on to his upcoming album, due to drop November 11.
