David Archuleta posted a MySpace message today. He talks about he Olympics a bit then he thanks his fans for helping make his debut single “Crush” a success:
…On a side note I just wanna thank everyone sooooo much for your support with Crush! I was shocked to see it number 1 on iTunes and then I about died when I saw it number 2 on the hot 100 lol. Someone told me during the Sunrise, Florida aftershow about the billboard debut but I thought they were mistaken and didn’t believe them. But wow! I’m just ecstatic to know that you guys like the song and thanks so much for helping make Crush do what I thought was the unthinkable!
I’m still working on the album and we’re all trying really hard to do our best. Well we’re at the venue now so talk to you guys later!

I’m having so much fun following Archie’s career! How many times do we get to see everything unfold before his and our eyes like this! We have seen his first concert, him shakily premiering his first song, his day on his first video shoot, and now his reaction to his Billboard debut!
Yesterday morning, i commented that I had yet to hear Crush on the radio….I heard it last night on my drive home. It’s filtered down to rural america so it’s everywhere now.
Well Kiis LA and a few other bigger stations have yet to play it but soon… lol Just played in Seattle yesterday, so hopefully the west coast gets it soon. lol

DC stations have yet to play it yet too… what is the dang hold up??? I’ve been reqeusting, and they tell me they HAVE it and “sometimes” play it, but honestly, I have YET to hear it and my radio is on for hours at a time every day!!!
It has been on in DC at some point lol I remember a few people mentioning it. Though im not sure which station…

The Disney interview is so great. David is articulate and very thoughtful in the way he is expressing both his expectations and the fans as well. He is quite intelligent and chatty at times. This was one of those times. I like it alot. He really is growing and maturing in front of our eyes. It’s like the show stifled him and made him go into a shell, but my oh my, he’s out now!
