From All Music, here’s the Track list for David Archuleta’s upcoming album with Songwriter credits.
David Archuleta co-wrote two of the songs, “A Little Too Not Over You” and “Don’t Let Go”.
You’ll see some familiar names here:
- David Hodges of Evanescence has written for many Idols, including Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry and Blake Lewis.
- Kara DioGuardi is now the 4th judge on American Idol and has a long list of songwriter/producer credits. She’s written for Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, David Cook and many others.
- The legendary Desmond Child can boast such heavy hitters as Aerosmith and Bon Jovi amongst his credits, but he’s also written songs for Ace Young, Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry.
- Antonina Armato and Tim James, known as the Rock Mafia, co-wrote and co-produced 8 songs on the Miley Cryus album Breakout.
- Wayne Wilkins is a British songwriter who has written songs for Natasha Bedingfield and Leona Lewis. He just signed with Sony/ATV in October.
- Andreas Carlsson has a slew of Idol credits including, the Season 4 coronation song, “Inside Your Heaven”, Clay Aiken’s “Invisible” and Diana DeGarmo’s “Dreams”, but he’s also written songs for Backstreet Boys, Jesse McCartney and ‘N Sync.
- Speaking of ‘N Sync – JC Chasez was a member of that popular boy band.

I’m not surprised to see all the usual suspects working on Archie’s CD. Is there any info out there on which producers he used?
I thought he had written a lot more of his songs then this……
^^ He did. Only 2 are on the main album. The bonus track version sold digitally on iTunes and Amazon has another song he wrote (100% wrote–music and lyrics). The bonus track version sold in Wal-Mart stores has yet another song he co-wrote with Daniel Bedingfield. And the pre-order exclusive track on the iTunes version is a song he co-wrote as well. In total he wrote or co-wrote 5 songs that will be released on some version of the album. He wrote or co-wrote a lot more than that, but Jive had the final say in what made the album.
This is the same thing that Jive did with Jordin on her album. She had 1 song on the main album that she co-wrote (Freeze) and others that she co-wrote as bonus tracks. Both Jordin and David will get a lot more leeway on their second albums.
They were made some changes to the lyrics of Desperate in here you can see the changes in the lyrics made by Archie… they are writen in bold…
I love the changes that Archie made to “Desperate.” The changes in the lyrics make the song fit him better and because of those changes the song now gives a more constructive message. Nice job, David!
