Awww’ ¦ I love Archie. He is so sincere, and sweet, and fun! He has such a beautiful voice. I bought his Christmas CD and it is absolutely gorgeous. My sister and I were listening to it in October! That was a first for us, but it was that good! I have to say, I had to go to 3 Walmarts, before I could find it. The first two were sold out already. I bet his Christmas concert will be wonderful. He has a perfect voice for Christmas songs. The closest venue for me is over two hours away, so I probably won’t be able to go, but I would love to!

The closest venue for me is over 3 and half hours. Well, close to 4 hours considering a big city traffic. But we are going!! Living in a small town doesn’t provide us with many opportunities for nationally known artists’ concerts. There are rumors about possible concert song selections, and I can’t wait!!

About the sales of CFTH’ ¦..I know he’s sold 49,000 of this Christmas albums so far, but I don’t know what the usual expectations for Christmas albums are and wonder if the amount he has sold is considered good for a new artist. Anybody know of singers in the past, new artists, who have put out a holiday album and how many they sold the first year of the album. Since it is a seasonal product, what are the final sales expectations for this album by the season’s end? Just kind of curious

pulled this from the album thread on the pulse music proboards… i’m not that familiar with the historical data about the trajectory/expectations for christmas cd’s, but looking at excerpted chart of christmas cd’s released around the same time last year, [compiled by rodze]…barring top 2008 holiday sellers faith hill and harry connick’s numbers, he looks to be in good position to equal, and hope of all hopes, top some of those remaining numbers… i think bocelli will be tough to beat this year when the dust settles, but best guesstimate – david should top at least 100k… it’s gonna require more serious numbers gurus and chart watchers for anything more in depth

Next month?!! That’s impossible. MJ probably meant next year.
Although he probably has enough songs already written for a full album.

Yeah, this is full of win. Cats, clinking bowls and spoons, dim lighting, fanboying over John Mayer concert–he is too funny. Always good to hear about him having fun and keeping busy. Really looking foward to some of the promotional stuff coming up over the next month or so.
