Well, there’s a comment to get a fan’s thoughts going. Maybe you know something you don’t want to say. I know David inspires fan loyalty (I feel it too) and won’t ask.

But I’ve got a whole list of ideas about what these decisions might include — interesting.

I won’t pretend to be close to the family or drop names, but from what I hear among people who seem to know what goes on, this situation has been very hard on David, but he has learned to deal with it and has found peace about it.

David is an adult now and is making his own decisions (some upcoming ones that may not be very popular among some fans) and managing his life the way he wants to, choosing to include his parents, but I would prefer we discuss David’s life and not his father’s and mother’s life.

As for Jeff and the fans. He definitely enjoyed it all a little too much. Manager or no manager, commingling with the fans looked bad. Especially to fans who weren’t “in” with the family like some other fans. My wish is that he resign as David’s manager or that David let’s him go somehow, and that he goes back to Utah full-time to help raise the other children. THAT is his job.

Jeff never approached fans for pictures. The fans approached him. What to do?

What to do? He could have not been so physically close to the fans. He was always near the line where David was autographing and such with the fans, always close by. Always TOO assessable. As I see it, he was there for attention for himself! Hey, fans would not have approached him or even looked for him if he had HUNG BACK or STAYED on the BUS. He didn’t need to be out there. You saw Jeff in the background on red carpets. Often in pictures of David you’d see Jeff-O hovering in the near distance. TOTALLY unnecessary! Geez, and SITTING with his son at the TCA. Again, if he had to be there, why not just sit back in the audience somewhere. Jeff liked the spotlight on him. Was living vicariously probably. David and Jeff will always have their father/son relationship, but for David’s professional dealings, I hope Jeff gets out of the picture and stays out. He’s totally controversial and a troublesome distraction. Enjoy David during your personal family time, holidsays or whatever, but PLEASE, go get your own career going Mr. Jeff. Stop trying to “rear” an adult son. He’s doing fine. Bottom line, your reputation is shot. We (most of us) are weary of seeing or hearing about you. Go awayyyyyyyyyyyy.

And the fans who prominently displayed their ‘hugging’  pictures with Jeff and their thrill at receiving an autograph from this man and their little asides that ‘knowing’  Jeff was getting them into special David events became more than I could handle.

It’s old news now. I don’t think any of fans want their hugging pictures with Jeff any more. He disappeared pretty much after the news in June. But Jeff actually helped fans a lot to accomodate for them to see David. Especially fans who had physically disabled or had difficulties to meet David. They would ask for help to Jeff and he couldn’t just ignore in certain situations.

I am not trying to defend him. But people make mistakes just like you and me, and we often judge people by their mistakes. Hope Jeff won’t make any more mistakes and learns from his own son.

I’m confused as to why anyone would want this loser’s autograph. How could that possibly be a desirable thing?

It takes all kinds… Plus, Jeff, for all his rubbing people the wrong way, attracting scandals, and being oily, is a chatty, friendly guy who has no problems mingling in social situations and that makes him polarizing. People like that. Also, many Idol family members get asked for autographs. Furthermore, the last time the fans had that kind of access to Jeff was probably during the part of the solo tour he was present for back in March before the massage parlor scandal broke. In recent history, he has not been at any of David’s public appearances or the Demi tour, and he rarely travels with David these days anymore, if at all.

This newest “leak” just further proves why it’s wiser for Jeff to continue to keep out of the public eye. Sure, the divorce was a logical conclusion to the arrest and the legalities they’re dealing with are standard stuff, but it’s embarrassing that everyone has access to such personal info about the lives of David’s family. I’m sure that’s the last thing he’d want drawn attention to and yet I’m sure he also understands it’s the price of fame and out of his hands.

My concern is with the many very active fans in David’s fan community that are still champions of Jeff and continue to ‘promote’  him. Having Jeff as a manager is between Jeff and David, but the fact that Jeff used this as a means to personal ego stroking just makes me sad.

There are two sides to every fanbase. Just as there are David fans who will give Jeff the benefit of the doubt and continue to support him since he’s David’s dad and someone involved in David’s career, and even claim to like him, there are just as many fans who can’t stand the guy. David still has a large fan subset on IDF and the vast majority there would love to see Jeff fade into the background permanently. They rant and rave anytime he’s anywhere near the spotlight. FOD is probably the opposite of that in that they prefer to stay in a bubble and only accentuate the positive while ignoring or refusing to comment on the negative. It apparently works for them so I don’t bother to concern myself about it.

I was surprised skeezy Jeff will be getting child support from Lupe and she gets one less day per week than he does. That does not seem like the norm at all. I don’t know if or what career she has.

Except neither of those things are true. As I clarified on the previous page, Jeff is the one who has to pay child support. They are also given equal time with the kids. It’s all there on page 10. If not for the financial disagreement from the two parties about Jeff’s actual income, it’s a fair divorce settlement to both parents and the kids.

I know David is not high on MJ’s like list…

This has nothing to do with personal feelings. Any and all idol news is reported here for the most part. And anyway, even if MJ did not like David during his run on Idol, I haven’t seen anything but positive things from her regarding David since he’s been off the show.

David’s fandom should be all about David, as should his career. I wish some of his very vocal fans had never taken up the Jeff banner, for this will always leave a bad taste in my mouth. Oh well spilt milk and all. Hopefully everyone will back off now and David can continue with his career without all these albatrosses around his neck. I really do like the Kid and really love his voice and I sincerely want him to succeed.

I do not expect David to address this at all, nor should he have to. Hopefully the press and interviewers will respect his privacy–one can hope.

But, because he is a christian, and has a very conservative, religious, good kid as a son, he gets ripped when he doesn’t live up to standard. When someone who is not religious makes the same mistakes, they get applauded, promoted, and welcomed! THAT IS WHAT IS HYPOCRITICAL!

I don’t applaud, promote, or welcome it when non-religious people makes the mistakes Jeff has allegedly made.

Ok, why does this site enjoy broadcasting David’s parents relationship? This site was the first to broadcast the incident with Jeff, now this? I haven’t seen any controversial sharings of other Idols I don’t think. I just wish it would stick with the artistic stuff and not the personal stuff. This seems a bit off topic.
