David Cook – American Idols Live – Glendale AZ – VIDEO
Video posted here: A partial “Hello”, “Billie Jean” and “My Hero”. As he’s introducing “Hero” David tells the audience that he got great news–his brother Adam’s tumor has stopped growing. Very good news, indeed!

David performed a very energetic set. David Archuleta introduced him to the crowd, There was a long pause and musical introduction as Cookie took the stage. It was very dramatic! “Billie Jean” was the first song of the encore, which included all the Idols performing “Please Don’t Stop the Music”
Great set–I wished he’d gone acoustic at one point, and I missed “Always Be My Baby”, I would have preferred that to “Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” but those are small caveats. David was a natural in front of the arena crowd.
That’s it for the videos. I have photos of all the other Idols, and will post a longer recap… Stay tuned.

This is the point where he had me in week 3. I had always liked him, and he really had me from the beginning of ‘Hello’, but “or is someone loving you” was when I fell off my couch.

So GOOD!!! Love that mic-twirling, fun-having, ROCKSTAR David is BACK! He was made for the stage, and watching him on it is such a pure pleasure.
I don’t even have the words. these are going to be exciting 2 1/2 months.

OMG!!!! He is such a rock star!! I am just amazed at how confident and at ease he is on stage.

I LOVE his DWTMAT performance. I just happened to hear S. Tyler do it yesterday, and–no offense intended to ST fans– I realized how much I prefer DC’s version. It seems more heartfelt to me, more about a guy really truly doting on a woman, where ST’s seems more self-indulgent and about the guy, if that makes any sense.

spritely, I so agree with you on DWTMAT. I heard TOML on the radio a couple of wks ago and then heard the intro. to DWTMAT begin. For a moment I thought it was DC!! Then reality struck and I knew right away it couldn’t be. Oh how I longed to hear his voice singing it….on the radio. Now I will on tour!
Cookie sounds fine but he looks ridiculous. His mngmt needs to get him a stylist.
I think that vest is solely to spite Bax and her disdain of the “Innocent” jacket. LOL.
It’s the vest plus the guitar strap plus all that other stuff.

Me? I love his inimitable Cookie Style. Bling, boots, vests, straps, watches the size of the clock on the Tower of London, wristbands, enough necklaces to re-open his father’s jewelry store. . .it’s just all so him, lol. Which, to me, means spontaneous, enthusiastic, in love with practically everything he encounters, totally willing to look goofy in the service of music/a good cause/making somebody happy, or whatever. Honestly, he cracks me up and makes me smile like that Happy Face sticker he had on his hat the other night. Really, a happy face. (rolls eyes and then chuckles) Here, Sweetheart, have another bracelet, hee.
I also love him when he’s formal and stylish, but he did say he’s a slob. World’s best looking slob, is all I can say.

I love the vest and the vest-over-little-white-T look just about the best of anything he wore on the show. He’s rockin’ it.
