David Cook and David Archuleta talk a bit about their Thanksgiving Day activities:
David Archuleta is spending Thanksgiving Day performing at Macy’s Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade. He’s excited, but worried about the weather:
Well, it’s gonna be really cool to be in the Thanksgiving Day Parade because it’s something I’ve always watched for Thanksgiving, like, with my family and it’ll be fun. I know it’ll be cold, so that’ll be interesting, having to be outside for so long, but I–they’re going to try and keep me layered with…some warm clothes
David Cook told ABC News Radio about the annual Thanksgiving tradition he’s taking part in tonight in Kansas City:
There’s this area of town called the Plaza and it’s like this nice shopping and restaurant district an on Thanksgiving night, they have somebody come in every year and flip the switch and turn the Christmas lights on, it’s this big ceremony and…this year they were kind enough to ask me to do it, so I’m gonna go home and…y’know, flip the switch…more than anything, it’s just an excuse for me to get home for a few days and see my family. I mean, I remember growing up and going to those things, so to be involved in it now is amazing.
Cook realizes he’s got a lot to be thankful for this year:
Absolutely, I’m certainly not, uhm, not lacking in the thankfulness department, so…I’ll eat my turkey, I’ll eat my stuffing and be pleased.

Hee in one of the radio interviews with DC over the last few days he mentioned something about eating too much and his trainer getting mad. I hope he can stuff his face today guilt free!

A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird’s mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. John tried and tried to change the bird’s attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to “clean up” the bird’s vocabulary.
Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even ruder. John, in desperation, threw up his hand, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed. Then suddenly there was total quiet. Not a peep was heard for over a minute.
Fearing that he’d hurt the parrot, John quickly open the door to the freezer, the parrot calmly stepped out onto John’s outstretched arms and said, “I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I’m sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior.”
John was stunned at the change in the bird’s attitude. As he was about to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the bird continued, “May I ask what the turkey did?”

For a lip sync gig, Archie did pretty well.
Did you all notice how Shontelle lost her balance and almost fell of her float both when it suddenly stopped moving and when it started moving again? LOL!
Did you notice Long Long, the piano virtuoso on the Sesame Street float, pretending to play the piano, but with big bulky gloves on. LOL!
Did you also notice the EXTRA commercial? Apparently this evening’s episode of EXTRA will show clips of next season’s American Idol train wrecks! Don’t miss it.

The local parade for Detroit bumps the NBC’s coverage of the Macy Parade so just saw a glimpse of Archie on CBS’s coverage. He went by way too quickly for me but looked like he was having a great time.
