   Thanks for posting this as I hadn’t seen it yet and it made my evening so much better. I’m getting ready to see him on Jay Leno soon and I think that will be a blast as Jay seems to bring out the best in folks.He’s a lot different in styles than my favorite ,Taylor, but I so see similarities. He just want to be a working musician and he has to feel the song in order to perform it but I have to say his interviews are more articulate than Taylors. Thanks for this Idol year and I plan on sticking around even in the off season. I came here after the season five was over (maybe that was a good thing), stayed during season six but not too interested but this year I was here everyday and actually posted on occasion. It’s fun to have a favorite and more fun to have them win. I tell my friends that part of the fun of Idol is being on the internet and voting.

   David interviews so well, very articulate and expresses himself well, AI must love that. I loved all the “messages” to him that the top 12 said (loved Jason trying to do David’s camera “face”). They all seemed to have a great relationship.

   I just saw him on Leno and he did a great job (best line: when discussing the Guitar Hero commercial, Leno asked him if he’d ever ran around in his underwear in front of a camera before and laughingly David says, not for money, lol). He even pimped AI’s new thing at Disney (I have a feeling he was probably asked to plug it).

   He was great on Leno, he (so far) is not letting this go to his head. Best Idol/Leno interview since, well S5. LoL!

   Love how he interviews. Great to read about him in print but it is sheer pleasure to be able to see videos of his interviews because that boy is all kinds of HOT!

   Thanks MJ! I thought I was gonna wean myself away from here and get back to my “regular” life but I cannot tear myself away. Love feeding my love for DC!

   Watching all this - it finally hit me. Finally. Just wow.

   Like someone else said in one of the other threads - it feels so weird to feel proud of him, because I don’t know this guy at all. But watching his progression as an artist through this season has been amazing. Looking back at “Happy Together” and comparing it to where and who he is now, he does seem like a completely different artist… like JD said - in one performance it was like a guy who was trying out this singing thing, and in another, it was like we were seeing a true rockstar.

   That’s the kind of story I love on AI. The evolution of a contestant from “nobody” to “star.” Cook really exemplifies that this season, IMO. From the fauxhawk’d guy in the argyle sweater at auditions to the poised, handsome rockstar at the finale. What a transformation. I definitely look forward to following his career.

   oh, my word nerd. He is so articulate even without sleep. loved that syesha brought up his pirate joke. I so agree with sarah-i feel so proud of him and i don’t know him. I also feel proud of lil david, with how well these two guys comport themselves. I bet they will have a great time on tour. can see cookie and mj cutting loose. i hope archie gets to tour without his dad so he can blossom as his own artist. it was eye opening to see him perform with one republic-it was like he was freed from some of the restraints upon him and it was a more fluid, joyful performance. seemed to me like he lost a weight and was able to “feel” and “experience” the moment without trying so hard to “force/make” a moment. don’t know if that makes sense to anyone but me. anyhow, i look forward to watching their journeys. thanks for the videos mj.

   What do you think he meant when he said that Carly had got to bat for him, on a personal level, many times?

   I think it’s great how close these kids all seem to be. Looking forward to the concert!

    Thanks for the vids, MJ. :) Hopefully he can get some sleep now, so he doesn’t start mumbling in his interviews.

    I’d bet money KimberME is going to claw out Mandy Moore’s eyes if they ever come across each other.

    Watching Jason eyefuck at the camera is seriously entertaining. LOL

    I would love to see him with Mandy Moore as much as I want to see her with Shane West. Awwww!!! now he has an autograph picture from her. Lovely!
