I got everything last night. David Cook’s entire set. And it was a good one. He was very energized by the enthusiastic crowd, and I think you’ll see some things here that are new. Lots of stuff like the bunny someone gave him during “Don’t Want To Miss a Thing”. The clown wig and funny glasses right before “My Hero”–Cookie also thanked fans for donating to Stand Up to Cancer. The back bend in “Billie Jean”–at the end he jumped off the stage right in front of me, practically. The girls next to me to to touch his hand and they were very happy! After making fun of pop tarts, he filmed the audience in the dark–with only the glow of cell phones and glowsticks.

I admit – I had no idea what a pop tart was before I started watching AI this year. I also did not know how to calculate time zone differences between Eastern and Western time, and the term “Yo Dawg, a little bit pitchy” did not make me want to punch someone.

I think they get their tour clothes from TPTB (or whoever the tour’s PTB are). I don’t think that’s Dave’s own wardrobe. Although I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing the pirate pants make many more happy appearances.

I do have to say – before the tour started, I’ve been told the Idols never change their outfits, and other than the pants David changed every aspect of his outfit since the tour started. Archie’s Liberace suit, for some reason, remained.

Man, that Providence crowd really loved the Cookster! Awesome videos, as usual. My favorite part is when he pauses at the end of Hello, looks around at the cheering and appreciative audience and gets the best expression on his face. To me, he’s thinking to himself “this (feeling the love) never gets old.” And, for his sake, I hope it doesn’t.
